this simple pattern is knit in the round in stockinette stitch and then taking the edges of the fabric and folding back a margin of the cloth you knit them together forming large hems that appear as folds.

These mini pumpkins are worked in the round with the top and bottom cinched to create a ball. One hank of Silky Wool should make 7 mini pumpkins :)
