Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is built from mitered squares of different sizes. Specific instructions for each type of square are listed first, followed by the overall instructions for the shawl. Use the chart on the last page to determine the correct placement of each square.
Crochet: Cowl
This cowl is inspired by the Klein Bagel, a single sided surface with no boundary. It can be represented with a figure eight “donut” with a half-twist, which is how this is structured.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This thrummed beanie is the hat for the coldest weather. The thrums and the double layer with the fold-up brim around the ears will keep you incredibly warm! This hat is constructed in continuous rounds in one piece, with thrums added on the first half.
Crochet: Cowl
This double-loop cowl/infinity scarf is constructed first as a skinny rectangle and seamed with a half-twist to create a mobius loop. The edge is then worked continuously until the desired width or the end of the yarn.
Crochet: Cowl
This bulky weight cowl can be made with two different colors for the mountain-like effect, or with a single color for a subtler look.
Crochet: Curtain
These crocheted curtains were inspired by the traditional card game Hanafuda. The forty-eight cards in the deck are divided into twelve months, with each month represented by a specific plant. You will be using filet crochet to create the different motifs.
Crochet: Scarf
Here is a short and skinny scarf you can make with one skein of DK weight yarn. I made this for my 3-year-old son to give him a little extra warmth.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This pattern was inspired by the UN designation of 2024 as the International Year of Camelids. I used a 100% alpaca yarn from Mayapple Hill Farm from the fiber animal named Mandrake. The leaf of the mayapple (aka American mandrake) is the inspiration for the body of the hat.
Crochet: Poncho
A big, drapey poncho with a checkering pattern. Perfect to throw on for extra warmth!
Crochet: Beret, Tam
Celebrate fall harvest with a garlic hat! Wear to a local garlic festival or any local festival to mark the change of seasons.
Crochet: Washcloth / Dishcloth
The perfect gift for anyone to show your appreciation! Make them out of any yarn that can handle the wear and tear of use.
Crochet: Bedspread
This crocheted temperature blanket was inspired by the traditional card game Hanafuda. The forty-eight cards in the deck are divided into twelve months, with each month represented by a specific plant. The blanket is made with twelve panels, each depicting the plant of that month. You will be using a modified puff stitch to create the plant pat...
Crochet: Bedspread, Throw
This mosaic crochet blanket was designed and named for my cousins-in-law. Any number of repeats can be used to make the size and shape you like.
Crochet: Wall Hanging
Uzu (Japanese 渦) refers to the spiral shape of the motifs that come together in groups of six to form each medallion. Connect any number of medallions for the desired length, from a doily to a table runner.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
Fuyu no Haru (冬の春) means “Winter’s Spring,” referring to the spring-like colors and the front-post stitches evoking a grassy spring meadow. This pattern includes Toddler and Adult sizes, but the pattern can be modified to fit a variety of sizes.
Crochet: Toy Plant
This pattern consists of three different crocheted plant species: crispy wave fern (Asplenium nidus), polka dot plant (Hypoestes phyllostachya), and snake plant (Dracaena trifasciata). Each species can be modified to your desired size to fill out whatever container you are ‘planting’ them in.
