Crochet: Afghan block
In getting ready for Spring weather I wanted to create a soft cotton blanket in pastels and brights so I landed on the I Love This Cotton yarn by Hobby Lobby (solid blue sample). Though any yarn will do as long as you mind your tension. (If created too loosely, you lose the dimensions that the cabling adds).
Crochet: Throw
This textured throw blanket is fun to make and beautiful to use. Back post stitches allow you to create the points and petals with clear definition and intentional design. I hope you enjoy creating your masterpiece with this pattern. For more information about the pattern (including where the name came from) please visit this post.
Crochet: Animal Toy
The Mad Menagerie is a zoo of patterns. Starting with the Pig, then an Owl and a Cat, this pattern will be added to over time.

Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
This pattern is for a pair of fingerless, ribbed gloves with a thumbhole. The texture of the ribs creates pleats with a deep valley and high ridge. They are very warm and the fit conforms to the curves of the hand and wrist.
Crochet: Cape
This capelet is warm, eye catching and easy to make! I enjoy using color work and yarn changes to give a pattern an intricate look while maintaining structural simplicity in stitch use and construction.
Crochet: Throw
This pattern is simple and adaptable. Size and colors are within pattern are recommendations to make the blanket in the picture but there are instructions to adapt the pattern to your own color taste and preferred size.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap

Crochet: Applique / Embellishment
Curlicues are important. I’m not sure exactly why, but you just have to take my word for it. They are necessary in life.
Crochet: Floral block
This pattern is a motif designed to hang well for a bunting or be used to embellish pockets, makes wraps, or textured baby blankets. I’ve included some pictures to see how each motif works as a ‘flag’ on bunting.
Crochet: Billed Hat
This pattern provides you with the directions on the construction of the hat, gauge info, tools, special pattern notes and brim option instructions. There are also photographs showing two different design options for the striping; one tricolor option and one bicolor option.
Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
These wrist wraps are fun to work up in a variety of yarns and the pattern is completely adaptable to any size or length desired.
Crochet: Market bag (slouchy)
This is a very durable bag that will expand but still hold it’s shape. It can be made with other yarns but it looks best with a cotton or cotton blend and will not become to stretchy. Acrylic yarn can be used, but due to it’s nature, the bag will appear smaller when finished, but then stretch extremely when stuffed.
