Knitting: Drawstring Bag
Relic bags in period were knitted at a much smaller gauge; around 17.5 sts per inch. This one is knit in worsted weight at 5.25sts per inch because it’s much easier to learn on. The bags I referenced were relic purses from the 14th century. The source is unknown but 5 of them are in the treasury of an ancient cathedral at Sion in western Switze...

Beads and more beads! This is an engaging knit and goes quickly. The beads are added in with a crochet hook. No tedious pre-stringing! Size 6 beads, a size 12 crochet hook, a skein of luscious fingering yarn and your favorite circular needle are the stuff dreams are made of.

Knitting: Scarf
You will enjoy knitting this easy to memorize scarf! It was created by my dear friend Lee Johnson. He was a spinner, weaver and knitter. His regular job was as an engineer and that’s kind of how this pattern came about. He was fiddling around with a circular dishcloth pattern and came in one day with a scarf. My customers were thrilled so we wr...

Arches and Columns springs from my fascination with Gothic and Medieval architectural styles. During a 2008 trip to England, I was captivated by the infinite variety of building styles, and these memories continue to color my designs. This hat has an interesting rib pattern that flows into graceful arches. It’s easy to memorize and another fun ...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
A fast and entertaining knit! The hat uses a 3st cable and would be a good way to learn cabling without using a cable needle. Any worsted or DK weight yarn will work well. My test knitters used solid and variegated yarns and all looked good.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
The name for the Aztec Aliens Fingerless Mitts came about because I was doodling a fair isle design, found something I liked and couldn’t decide if it looked Aztec or like little space ships! Everyone I showed it to couldn’t decide either so I just ran with it!
Knitting: Cowl
Gothic Arches may look difficult but it’s a very interesting knit. You will learn a few new techniques along the way! The pattern has a chart to keep track of the row you are on and very detailed directions on how to make the attached I-cord edging.
Knitting: Bracelet
Easy to knit and sparkly to get! These fantastic bracelets don’t need a gauge. You will need approximately 50 beads of any size that fits onto the wire. I have gotten Freshwater Pearls onto the wire with no problem. Any beads from size 8 seed beads up to 8mm will look good together.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This is an easy to make fingerless mitt pattern suitable for advanced beginners.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The Cathedral Hat uses twisted stitches to mimic the look of cables without the hassle of finding your cable needle.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These fingerless mitts are kind of addictive! I love adding beads to a pattern, helps with the Knitter’s ADD. The pattern is easy to memorize, has beads accenting the top of the scales and 2x2 ribbing on the other side. It has lots of stretch and will fit many hand sizes.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat uses bulky yarn and just a little bit of novelty for the accent line. Quick to knit and can be either very feminine or a little more masculine. The beige version uses GGH Aspen and
