While binge watching Alone, I got to season seven when I saw a hat that one of the contestants was wearing that I just had to have. Shawn Helton was that contestant. I never could find the hat no matter how many ways I searched for it. It was a combination baseball cap and winter hat complete with a bill knitted in the same chevron stitch.

This is just a simple pattern I completed as a test of converting traditional quilted patterns to crochet. Using an I hook, the entire pattern worked out to 18” square.
