Most of you sureley already have crocheted a Half Granny Shawl. Here is a shallow version of the pattern! Almost as easy and mindless to work as the deep version, this pattern is for all those shawl lovers out there who prefer shawls that grow more in width than in depth.

Peitho is a triangular shawl, worked top down from the center. As the pattern repeats itself every row it is very easily memorized and quite a “mindless” project. After a few rows you will only need to check the pattern for the stitches at the border and at the center.

This rectangular wrap combines open meshwork with post stitches to create rows of smooth waves that flow into one another. Adding neon green to classic gray allows the stitches to pop in a mesmerizing pattern sure to draw everyone’s attention.

Regenbogenschwester is a lightweight shawl which works up quite quickly. “Regenbogenschwester” is German for “Rainbow Sister”. I chose this name because this shawl is an alteration of my Arke pattern and Arke is the Greek goddess who represents the faded second rainbow.

Hephaistos is a dragon tail worked in the moss stitch. As such it has a curved inner side and spikes at the outer edge. The used stitch results in a rather dense but soft and flexible fabric.

Eyelet rows and a lacy pattern of puff stitches come together in this beautifully detailed shawl. It is so light and soft you hardly notice wearing it, but even so it lends a bit of extra warmth for chillier summer nights.

With the ombré impact of a morning glory flower, this breathtaking blue shawl is the perfect accessory for watching the sunrise, especially before the warmth of the day has time to arrive. Its charm comes from its half octagon shape, wavy edges, and elements of lace.

Dragon’s Lair is a lace shawl. With its slightly curved form and 28 spikes it reminds of the tail of a dragon. The stitch pattern resembles a cut gemstone. Worked with a shiny yarn in any juwel tone this shawl is bound to be a girl’s best friend. It seems to have just been stolen out of a dragon’s lair.
