Pattern for hats I originally created for my frog doll Ceci. There are two versions of the hat included in the pattern, a fingering weight and a sport weight version.

Inspired by the “puff color” method this pattern uses a crochet hook to make the puffs. Use a crochet hook the same size as your needles.

This block starts at a corner with only 2 chains. It keeps its square shape after every row, so you can make it as large as you like (hence the name, growing block). Crochet until you have the right size, or until you run out of yarn.

Errata: the stitch count after round 1 should be 45, not 40.

This is a pattern of a heart. It consists of a small central heart with the possibility of adding 10 rows. The heart keeps its shape after every row, so you can make it at large as you want (hence the name, growing heart).
