As a thank you gesture for your support of my projects throughout this past year, here are a couple of quick and easy patterns for you to make for your friends and family. They are beginner-friendly, small and easy to make. I’m sure that you will enjoy making them as much as I did. All the very best in 2025!

Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
If you always wanted to try colour-work but it looked intimidating, this project is a great introduction to it. It is stranded colorwork where you work with two colours at the same time, alternating them to create different designs (in this case polkadots). There are only three rows of dots, so not much colour-work to do.
Knitting: Tee
This project is fairly easy to make. It is a custom knit top where you determine your size by using your measurements, gauge and chosen yarn, since you are custom knitting.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
This is a custom knit slipover where you determine your size by using your measurements, gauge and the chosen yarn.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
There are many different heel techniques and styles. One of the more popular ones is the boomerang heel (also called a German short row heel) because it resembles how a commercial heel looks.
Knitting: Cowl
This project is great for those one-of-a-kind skeins that you might have lying around.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Here is another pattern based on my ‘village socks.’ If you have knitted my ‘village socks’ before then this project will be easy to do.

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
“Blushed Grey” is a classic winter shawl that has a modern twist to it. It has a nice shade of pink that is trending this season, and wraps around a heathered grey section.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Autumn has finally arrived, full of beautiful colours and crisp air. It’s time for long walks in nature, wearing nice and cozy knits.
Knitting: Cowl
This yarn beautifully highlights some of the national parks in Canada, so I wanted to showcase the colours of the yarn more than any stitch pattern.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A timeless and classic striped shawl with a twist. You can knit this project using two colours as suggested or you can mix and match yarn from your stash. I bought the yarn in 2016 at ‘Art of Yarn’ in Kelowna, BC, when I was on a business trip, but didn’t know what to knit with this until now. I think the design works beautifully.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I received this lovely yarn as a gift from my knitting friend Louise a while ago, but I couldn’t decide what to knit with it.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I named this shawl “Anthracite and lavender” because it looks like shiny coal but is so luxurious that it needed a fancier name, therefore this beautiful word for a type of coal.
Knitting: Cowl
Cowls are fun to knit and in no time one has a finished object. This cowl is one of those cowls, which makes it a great gift.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I love when the first leaves appear in the spring, bursting out of their buds and the whole landscape looking beautiful. I tried to capture that magical feeling with this crescent shawl knitted in two shades of green.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a custom-knit hat. You will knit it according to your head measurements to get the best fit for you, using a simple formula. Once you figure out your size, you can make many hats with different stitch patterns and they will always fit you perfectly.
Knitting: Pullover, Cowl
I started this project last year so, technically, I can’t say it’s the first project of the year. The first project of the year will be coming at the end of January, so come back and check that one out.
Knitting: Vest
This vest is a fairly easy project. It is knitted on 7 mm needles flat using bulky yarn, and seamed at the sides and shoulders.
Knitting: Skirt
I love pinstripe skirts (they are so classic) - and I wanted to knit one that would resemble the style. I love the way it turned out and it fits me really well.

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
You can knit this project using one colour or you can mix and match yarn from your stash.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
When I was young, my mother made me a linen shift dress with a square neckline. Ever since then I wanted a knitted top with a square neck. I love square necklines, and now they are on all the fashion runways.
Knitting: Cowl
This project is great for those bits and pieces of yarn that you don’t know what to do with. You can use any colours that you like for this project (a minimum of two colours are needed).
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A timeless and classic shawl with a twist - this is a beautiful shawl that can be wrapped around twice or worn long over your coat or jacket.
Knitting: Tee
I finished this tee a long time ago but didn’t have a chance to write up the pattern until now. I hope I didn’t omit anything in the instructions since the project has been written up from memory - but hopefully the instructions are clear.
Knitting: Cowl
This pattern contains info. for two cowls, Fjord and Tannat. The Tannat cowl is made in Alegria Grande yarn (one skein), while the Fjord cowl is made in two different yarns held together (Shibui Silk and Shibui Cima).
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This project is great for using some of your stash or one ball/skein yarn that you have lying around. The whole shawl is done in slip-stitch using three different colour combinations.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A long time ago I saw some lovely stained glass windows and liked the shapes, so I wanted to make a shawl with that design for a long time.

While this is a cowl, it can also be made into a scarf. When you knit a cowl, finish with row 4 of the pattern, and if you’re knitting a scarf, finish with row 8.
Knitting: Cowl, Beanie, Toque
The pdf for this project includes both a cowl and hat. It’s quick and easy to make both and you can make them in a couple of days using 280 m or 306 yards (for all three sizes).
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is knitted in the round using a provisional cast on and kitchener stitch bind off.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
This project was supposed to be my summer top but took a while to finish since I had to rip it twice, but finally the third time it worked. It’s hard to do a project when you don’t have enough yarn. Hope I get to wear it at least a couple of times before the cold weather starts.
Knitting: Cowl
This is a fairly easy snood to make, once you get the hang of it. The only part that’s a bit tricky is when you knit three stitches and pass the first one over the other two, but once you do that a few times it becomes easy.
Knitting: Vest
This vest is knitted flat. It uses two 100 g balls (200 m/218 yds) in super bulky weight. It’s very simple and quick to make since it’s knitted on 12 mm (US 17) needles.
Knitting: Cowl
This is a quick and easy project, knitted flat and seamed at the ends. If you want, you can do a provisional cast-on and bind off using the kitchener stitch. Either way, it works well.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I made this hat for my nephew’s birthday, but I was in a hurry so I never wrote the pattern down until today.
Knitting: Scarf
This is a very easy scarf to make. It consists of one row repeat just like my previous pattern Aleksa (different row repeat though), and it’s knitted on 8 mm / US11 size needles.
Knitting: Vest
This is a top-down vest knitted in the round. I only have one size in the pattern (medium/large), but it’s really easy to figure out other sizes by multiplying your stitches per inch by your chest measurement.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This is a great project to make as a gift or for yourself. You can make it in one day. I call the project Evening Haze Beret because of the nice purple shades in one of the berets that I gave to my friend. I made the blue and orange berets for myself.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I got this yarn as a gift from my knitting friend Louise. I always wanted to make an asymmetrical shawl and this was a perfect yarn for it. I like the way the colours change, and the different thicknesses of this yarn.
Knitting: Cowl
I only had three balls of yarn and decided to make this cowl as a charity project. It was very quick and easy to make on a 10mm needle. It’s very warm when you wrap it twice around your neck.
Knitting: Cowl
This collar is made from leftover yarn. You can use any combination yarn that you have left over for this project (and you can make it as wide as you like). It uses two different types of yarn held together for the most part; for the last three inches, it uses a single-strand yarn.
Knitting: Scarf
This is an intermediate project but once you get the hang of it, it’s really easy to remember the steps. Only one skein of 400 metres length (437 yards) was used. The pattern consists of a multiple of four stitches but any multiple of four will do. I used the Handmaiden Sea Silk yarn but any yarn is suitable; if the yarn is thicker, the scarf w...
Knitting: Cowl
This is a project that’s great for beginners. The collar is made with two different colours. You can use any yarn that you like for the collar, as long as the colours complement each other. Use a nice decorative pin or broach to close the collar. This pattern is also available in the Serbian language.
Knitting: Scarf
This is a project that’s fun for beginners. You can use any yarn that you like for the scarf, but I recommend a lighter coloured yarn to show off the stitch pattern better. I used Manos del Uruguay yarn (a silk/wool blend, hand-dyed, with subtle colour variations like the Mediterranean sea, therefore the name).
