Nova Scotia is known as Canada’s Ocean Playground, and I wanted to create a playful shawl to pay homage to that. The simple rectangular construction of the wrap, paired with the soothing chevron waves, makes an almost meditative knit, interspersed with delicate lace panels – the equivalent of waves lapping against the shore while you dive in.

A twist on ombré socks, Marling Darling is a simple, cuff-down design with a heel flap and gusset. You will be using three strands of fingering weight held together with a strand of lace weight mohair throughout the project. This creates a lovely, chunky weight sock great for slippers on cold winter nights.

This headband was created to compliment the Late Bloomer Mittens I had knit as part of Natural Ewe’s Fall Floral Knitalong. This pattern is knit with a subtle twist, with bands of alternating left and right twists that gives the hat great texture and is very easy to work.
