This pattern is scalable based on the measurement around your cat just under the front legs. The pattern I have made is for my cat Rosie, who is nine pounds and measures 14 inches around. The band instructions are based on Rosie’s size, but there are instructions to adjust to fit your cat.

Using Bernat Satin - multicolour yarn for head, body, feet, ears and tail about 80 g/146 m (3 oz/160 yds) and solid colour for tip of snout and ear lining about 5g/10 m(.2 oz/10 yards) - using different types of yarn and differing size needles will alter the size but still make an interesting little pig.

The body of the flamingo can be made of any type of feathery or fun fur yarn, using a smaller size needle than recommended. Head, neck, beak, legs and feet can be made with any left over worsted yarn, using much smaller needles than recommended, especially for neck which needs to be really firm.

The gauge for the pattern was calculated using smaller needles (US size 6/4 mm) with the suggested yarn. Using smaller needles than the size indicated on the yarn sleeve creates a sturdier body that will hold its shape when stuffed.

This little snowman can really be made with any type of yarn available. The snowman’s body should be a bit fluffy (as well as the Santa hat band and pompom), but all other pieces can be made out of any type of yarn that you have on hand.
