Knitting: Bag - Other
The bag is worked in stocking stitch on straight needles with the side seam sewn. The wings and beak are all in garter stitch and attached to the bag. I-cord is used to create the ties and feet.
Knitting: Hot Water Bottle
This hot water bottle cosy is knitted in three sections: the back, the lower front and upper front. The upper front and lower front come together to make the opening which is the monster’s mouth. Additional facial features and strands for hair finish off the monster’s appearance.

The cushion is worked in one piece with fold lines and the side seams are then sewn together. The main section of the cushion is worked in St st, with the coloured sections worked using the intarsia technique. The button band is worked in Moss stitch. Santa’s address is added to the cushion using back stitch.

Knitting: Wall Hanging
Each piece of bunting is knitted from the bottom up but not cast off, instead the bunting ribbon is threaded through the stitches.
Knitting: Pillow / Cushion
This cushion is knitted in one piece with fold lines and the side seams are then sewn. The centre of the flowers are bobbles that are knitted as part of the cushion, the petals are then each knitted but not cast off – instead yarn is threaded through the stitches and pulled tight to secure them to the bobbles.
Knitting: Decorative - Other
The pot and soil section is knitted in one piece with the side seam sewn, and card is used to keep the bottom flat. The flowers are all individually knitted and attached with an assortment of buttons to create the focal point.

A fold line is knitted in the hat section so it can easily be folded over the ribbon and secured in place with a few stitches.

For this blanket, each square is knitted separately and then sewn together; the border is knitted in 4 lengths and then attached. The accessories for each animal are knitted separately and then sewn on.

I was messing around one evening when I discovered this stitch pattern and I knew it would be perfect for fingerless gloves and I love it, it creates a lovely bounce to the knitting and fantastic detail for fingerless gloves and the colours I have used add a great contrast that works really well.
