This pattern was designed using two of my favorite things, simple garter stitch

Two beautiful braided cables run along either side of a Diamond Lattice pattern. The width of the scarf can be doubled by increasing the number of stitches in multiples of 8 + 4 for the Diamond Lattice pattern.

These cabled hand warmers knit up really fast with an after thought thumb and fleece lining added for extra warmth.

This pattern was inspired by the book Sequence Knitting by Cecelia Campochiaro. By repeating a very simple sequence (K3, P1) and introducing a second color, you create what appears to be a very complicated pattern but is actually quite simple.
