This is an antique counterpane re-creation. A friend of mine gave me two broken off squares from a queen-sized bed cover that her great-great grandmother had made when that intrepid lady came to the West and made her living with her knitting needles.

This is a mirrored derivation of Cookie A’s Pomatomus sock pattern applied to snug fingerless mitts that have mirrored scale patterns for each hand. There are charts and the pattern is also written out for those that like it in that style. Since it’s a derivation, it’s free.
