This is the 64 stitch cast-on, top down version of My Basic Sock is a Hybrid. I originally designed this sock for the Fleece to Foot contest at Sock Summit 2011. I have been knitting it, and re-knitting it ever since.

This is a universal Toe. The first 6 pages of the pattern teach the technique with pictures, written instruction and video links. Pages 7 and 8 walk you through how to adapt this toe to any sock pattern.

The elastic yarn is highly recommended.

Instruction also include a sock/fingering weight version on US Size 3, 3.25 mm needles. This is a very simple pattern for beginners. Easily altered and/or embellished.

This can be knit with size 7,6, or 5 needles. Just use a single size needle per flower.
