Knitting: Cardigan
A pony-eared hoodie that’s close-fitting, smooth and entirely seamless - it’s knitted in one piece (even the ears). The shoulders and body are gently shaped to suit a child’s body, and to make that gloriously enormous hood sit comfortably. The hood is plenty big enough to be a pony disguise, or flop around like a cape, however you prefer to wea...

Crochet: Mittens
Using one basic pattern, you can crochet owl, puffin or rockhopper penguin mittens to fit all ages, from toddler – adult. Five different sizing options are given, to fit hands from 4.5” to 8.5” wide (when measured around the palm above the thumb).
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Strikingly different heirloom baby pram blanket, blending a muted rainbow of stripes with different textures and aran-style stitches. It’s knit in one piece using 6 colours at once, with a simple crochet border. The variety of textures means that it would look just as beautiful with one colour.

Knitting: Muff
This pattern produces a beautiful, quirky but deeply practical muff in the shape of a loveheart that is identical to the original version of the Loveheart Muff Handwarmer pattern except… this simpler version uses more basic techniques so has unobtrusive seams at the side.
Crochet: Edging
Very detailed 6-page PDF of written instructions and photos describing how you can make a sturdy row of hearts bunting, an edging of hearts, or a border with embedded hearts in it.

All Rainbow Knits original designs are very practical as well as cute and quirky. This loveheart muff certainly fits the bill!
Crochet: Edging, Applique / Embellishment
Alongside the written instructions I’ve provided a detailed photo tutorial. Over 6 pages, I show you how to work a single poppy, or do a line of poppies as a crocheted no-sew edging to a blanket or other straight edge.

Knitting: Electronics Cozy
Ever heard of an eSock? It’s just a cover for your electronic items (mobile phones, compact cameras, calculators, MP3 players, etc.). It fits an original iPhone 3GS perfectly, as well as most little electronic items because it’s so stretchy. Obviously a knitted cover won’t protect them from all bumps and scratches, but this dense little sock wi...

Colourful and quirky without being garish? Check. This pretty and practical handwarmer or muff met the demanding requirements of my active little daughter...
Knitting: Muff
This cute handwarmer or muff isn’t just decorative - the double-layer and insulating air gap will keep little fingers warmer than mitts or gloves alone. The construction means it grips gently onto wee hands so there’s no need for a choke-hazard neck cord.
