Knitting: Cowl
A double layered cowl worked in rounds, starting with a provisional Cast On and finishing with the kitchener stitch. The little sister to my “Her Favorite Shawl” design which I designed one year ago, worked with a feather and fern pattern and two-color garter stitch.

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The “Peppermint Bows” is a slightly asymmetrical shawl and is knitted sideways.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The “Translucent Shawl” is a slightly asymmetrical shawl and is knitted sideways.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The rustic yarn I used for the “Right Path” shawl called very loudly for texture! My enthusiasm for creating something special, yet plain from simple patterns, I was able to do very well again here. Using a strong contrast, slip stitches and lots of knitting stitches, I created an asymmetrical shawl which is knitted sideways. I rounded out the ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Opposites attract, right? Even though they didn’t have much in common at first, two patterns absolutely wanted to be knitted together for this shawl design. Immediately after the first swatch it was clear to me that these two belong together. Love at first sight, which has grown very quickly into a harmonious unit.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
For a long time I had an elegant rectangular shawl on my design list. I love shawls and since I usually knit and wear classic triangular shawls, I really wanted to try a new shape. The pattern is already in mind after a few rows and guarantees a relaxed, meditative knitting experience. The “Cosy Storm” is reversible, nestles wonderfully around ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
In the beginning of last year I uploaded the Cast-On for this shawl idea to Instagram. A few minutes later I received a voice message from Anike from “Purl And Knit,” who told me excitedly that she wanted exactly such a shawl for her Advent calendar. We decided that this couldn’t be a coincidence and that this design should continue to grow for...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is inspired by the stunning sunsets on the Portuguese coast that I have been able to enjoy over and over again in recent months. I still have to prepare myself for the winter here, because it gets cold, even if not as much as in Germany. The yarn I used for this is a 100% merino single from Patagonia, dyed by “Pfalz-Wolle”.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl was created as part of MadelineTosh’s “MT Studio” program. A project for independent designers for which I had applied a few months ago. My special challenge this time was to realize my preference for large shawls in a project, which may contain a maximum of 3 skeins. So I decided to use a combination of a worsted weight yarn and cab...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The “Until Midnight” design had to wait a few months for its realization. Just in time for spring, Corinna from Ovillo and I made our plans. With her Socks DK Base, a large, cozy shawl was to be created for the fall. The anticipation was great and when the time came and I was finally able to cast on, time was quite short. My personal life and o...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
For a while now, I’ve been consciously adapting my knitting projects to my everyday life. When I have a quiet and relaxed time, I like to dedicate myself to new techniques and challenges. If I have a more stressful time with little routine, I need a project that can run alongside and that grounds me. At the beginning of summer Mara from AyaFibe...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I just can’t get enough of this slip stitch pattern. Since I discovered it, I really wanted to use it in a classic triangle shawl. This time I got support from “PRU Yarns” and used her beautiful “Streusel” base for the border. The black fibers incorporated into the yarn create a very special effect, which makes the slip stitch pattern look very...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is a playful and easy project for the summer season. It requires only 1000 meters of fingering weight yarn in total, but the ability to stretch the shawl in the lace and garter stitch sections results in a large enough and airy shawl. You can play around with colors and fibers, e. g. adding a third color, switching to a light main co...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The “Rosy Waves” came about through the magic of Samelin Dyeworks Merino Single Yarn, which grabbed me tight when I saw one of their shop updates. As soon as the yarn arrived at my house, I was off and running. Within 3 weeks, the idea to go with the yarn was born, the shawl knitted, and the pattern written. I hadn’t knit with single yarns in a...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
When I first saw this wonderful yarn and its color, I was totally in love with it right away. Immediately it inspired me to make exactly this beautiful textured shawl pattern. And indeed, it all went together so well! The pattern is simple, but still unique because of the border. The “Rusty Romance” shawl is slightly asymmetrical and knitted si...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
When I held the yarn for this shawl in my hand for the first time, I was immediately thrilled by its delicacy and sheen. I had never knit with such a high silk content before and until then I just didn’t know what I was missing. How I have come to love knitting such a silky yarn and then wearing it on my body! The shawl is wonderfully soft and ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
In preparation for spring, of course, I absolutely had to get a matching shawl. My love for asymmetrical shawls is unbroken and together with the beautiful slip stitch pattern I dared to even more asymmetry. As a result, this shawl isn’t quite as deep, but it’s a familiar length. The pattern is catchy and quickly memorized, but still shines wit...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Since I’m experiencing a real winter again this year and wear hats every day, I really wanted a bit more choice (I owned only two self-knitted hats until then). Without further ado, I drew up a lightweight transitional hat that would incorporate the beautiful dandelion pattern that I had also used in my Rainwater Shawl. This hat fits perfectly ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The wonderfully soft and squishy yarn of ‘FeatherFin Yarn’ inspired me to create this nice cable shawl pattern. It stands out beautifully because of the light sheen of the yarn and the alternation of Garter Stitch sections. The shawl is finished with a generous but simple ribbed border. For this shawl I have chosen a slightly asymmetrical shape...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Sometimes a project has to rest for a while to develop optimally. This wrap has waited quite a while for its completion. It always lacked the perfect finishing edge, no idea was good enough. After a long break, it has now become exactly the way I had imagined it. A wrap, on average similar to a cardigan, which can be put over the shoulders and ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is entertaining and inspires by its nice texture, which is not complicated to knit. It works perfectly with soft yarns which bring out the structures of the diamonds very nicely. This time the idea for the name of the shawl came from my daughter. We talked during a walk in the forest about the fact that the shawl still needs a name a...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Remember the last time you sat around a campfire? The mysterious and at the same time calming atmosphere that the crackling fire radiates in the dark night? When I discovered the “Tent Stitch” a few weeks ago, memories of long gone evenings at camp came back to me. The smell of the fire, old and newly won friendships and the realization that I ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The “Nice And Simple” shawl is the perfect holiday season project. It is worked with the simplest techniques and required only 967 yards of yarn. You can also get rid of some left over yarn. It is an asymmetrical shawl, is knitted sideways and ends with a beautiful textured stitch pattern. The textured lines can be knitted in different colours ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A few months ago I saw a beautiful soft pink yarn at FeatherFin Yarn. Even though I didn’t know yet what I was going to knit from it, I had to have it! It’s not unusual for me to leave some yarns for a while until I feel them. The moment for “Peach” had finally come a few weeks ago and I decided to break the softness of pink with a light grey e...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
For this shawl I used a simple base and mixed it with a slightly playful highlight. The work on the body was very relaxed, and with anticipation to the finish the project with these pretty little flowers it was knitted quite quickly. I love big shawls and at the “Rainwater Shawl” I really lived it up. ;-) I have chosen a slightly asymmetrical s...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Spring is here! The perfect time to bring some fresh and playful elements into life. What fits better than a shawl with a sea of nubs?? In this project I worked a simple textured body and then gave myself up to finish my current nubs addiction. ;-) The shawl is classic triangular and starts with the Garter Tab Cast On.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Because of my all-time cold feet (yes, even in summer ;-)) I absolutely love slippers!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is really close to my heart. The company Pascuali, in collaboration with Melanie Berg, designed the wonderful new yarn “Balayage”. I was one of the first knitters to knit my design with the yarn and was enthusiastic from the start about the wonderfully soft blend of alpaca and merino wool. The color palette of the balayage is incredi...
Knitting: Ankle Sock
Let me introduce a pattern for some fluffy and really comfortable socks to you again!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
It’s been a few years since I knitted my last brioche shawl. So a brioche project was definitely overdue. :-) It should be a simple and uncomplicated shawl and so I mixed the simple brioche with a garter section and I-Cords. The colors of the shawl remind me of the pink glowing sunsets we were able to admire each evening in late summer. The con...

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I love the look of I-Cord shawls! I enjoy knitting them although they take a little more time. ;-) For this shawl I wished for something that is not to heavy, so I can wear it in the first days of autumn. But it should still have a texture that is making the shawl look like a thick one. This shawl is not made in the regular way. It is coming ou...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This pair of mitts is the perfect beginner for fall. The pattern is easy to remember and a pair is knitted quickly. The special feature: The mitts look great from both sides, so you knit 2 pairs in one. :-)
