Crochet: Scarf
A great little scarf that can be worn around your neck or around your head to keep your ears warm. Works well for people of all ages great for children since it doesn’t fall off.

This month we once again visit South Pacific. This time I have incorporated several feeling I get while listening to the song Bali Ha’i. The gentle ocean waves, the beautiful flowers of the Island and of course the mountains. The wave and flower portion is adapted from a Patons sampler square.
Crochet: Collar
Since June seems to be a pretty busy month for most of us I decided on a simple project. A collar which will work for all ages and can be made longer or wider if that is how you like it and also in a variety of yarns. This simple collar will be a staple year round. Also try adding a few beads to your yarn to make your collar bling!

Crochet: Scarf
This super simply but beautiful scarf drapes just right and the best thing about this pattern you can make it, longer (just add more chains in the beginning); make it wider (keep adding rows); a cowl (hand stitch the two ends together) or my favorite make a rectangle fold in half, stitch ends and it becomes a shrug. However you decide to do it ...

The last work Rodgers and Hammerstein did together was The Sound of Music, and it told the story of the von Trapp family. It opened on Broadway in November of 1959 and was made into a film in 1965, and won five Oscars, including Best Picture. Hammerstein died in August 1960, before the film was made, so when Rodgers wrote two new songs for the ...
Crochet: Pullover
This month we are doing something a little different. I will be giving you a “recipe” rather than an exact pattern so you can make this to fit. It can be made for a child, teen or adult, and I am very excited because it can be worn all year long depending on the yarn you use and what you wear under it. Make it longer and it becomes a great beac...
Crochet: Component (stitch, edge) - Other
The musical The King and I is the fifth by Rodgers and Hammerstein and is based on the novel Anna and the King of Siam by Margaret Landon. Anna, a British schoolteacher was hired as a governess to the children of King Mongkut and although the relationship between Anna and the King is not smooth, there is a love that neither can admit. The play ...
Crochet: Hats - Other
This charming number is for when you just need a little something extra against the back of your neck to keep warm, or for those prone to losing their hats. Having short hair and being easily distracted by yarn I fit both of those situations quite easily. A nice warm hat that can easily be adjusted in size by adding or subtracting the total num...
Crochet: Afghan block
I just love the musical The Sound of Music, so many of the songs are fa- miliar… from the title song “The Sound of Music”, “Maria”, “Sixteen going on Seventeen”, “Edelweiss”, to “So Long, Farewell”, and of course “Do-Re- Mi.”When I hear any of these songs I can picture where they were sung in the show and I can sing along with the first verse o...
Crochet: Messenger Bag
Perhaps I was just really hungry that afternoon at the store or something when I began planning this project, but for some reason the color of this yarn really reminded me of graham crackers. That hunger pang inspired this tasty combination of stitch patterns used in this month’s design. When I think of graham crackers I think of a favorite fam...

People Will Say We’re in Love was inspired by Curly and Laurey’s romance in Rodgers’ & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! Their courtship goes back and forth dancing along in step with the music of love - or in this case a 1, 2, 3 Stitch of alternating rows of color. Then their romance gets really topsy turvy before settling down again and they ride o...
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl came to life last April when my good friend Tina Marie an- nounced she was getting married. I wanted to mark the occasion with a special gift that would serve as part of her wedding day ensemble, but be wearable beyond that glorious day of matrimony - with that
Crochet: Afghan block
Inspired by “You’ll Never Walk Alone” from the musical Carousel this pattern uses a combination of puff stitches combined with some interplay between the colors using post stitches. The puff stitch represents the bumps in the road life tends to throw our way, and the post stitches represent that much needed support we have to negotiate those bu...
Crochet: Cowl
A dreamy combination of colors combine to make this stunning little number which is sure to become a staple of your winter wardrobe. This versatile cowl looks so much more complicated than it really is - requiring just a few basic of crochet stitches. The textured center braid is created during the finishing process. And this cowl is highly adj...

This bright and cheery piece of color work was inspired by Rodgers and Hammerstein’s song “It Might as Well Be Spring” for the musical State Fair is sure to chase the winter blues away. Crochet: Afghan block
Our second installment of Broadway celebrates Rodgers and Hammerstein’s first collaboration Oklahoma! Using that sun filled sky and “corn as high as an elephants eye” as our inspiration for our stitches. My intent for this project is to use it as a pillow front to remind myself of the blessing of a beautiful morning. So grab your hook and yarn ...

The GlamMa Square S’mores vest is a modern day take on the classic granny square. Although the pattern is sized for a small this design is easily adjusted for any size (add more yarn) or any weight yarn - the key is keep repeating rounds until the square fits loosely across your back. Crochet: Scarf, Belt
The Malted Milkshake belt is a cabled tie belt that can also be used as a scarf. It is not size specific since you make it to fit yourself. I would suggest the use of linen or cotton since it does not stretch.
