Following the success of the Dragon pattern, here is another one. This time it’s a chicken.

I designed these to go with the Swallowtail Shawl. The lace pattern is the same as one used in the shawl, except that I have added size 8 glass seed beads.

There were a couple of very slight errors in the original pattern which I’ve now corrected. When shaping the nostrils, Row 7 should read:

The pattern is based on that used in the Elizabeth Zimmerman Aspen Leaf sweater.

A plain, basic hat which I made up as a basis for the Bad Hair Day Mohican Hat. Any double knit yarn should work. I chose this yarn because it is almost skin colour.
