Crochet style: Overlay Mosaic

This is my 3rd contribution for FATW6 CAL, ‘Adventures in Mosaic Crochet’. I enjoyed so much while designing this strip.

My inspiration for this design is a beautiful motif used in ancient Turkish kilims (hand-made decorative carpets) called Yildiz.

This pattern is a part of Friends Around the World Cal 6 by Cal-crochet along group.

Five Pakistani crochet designers , (Gul Ammar, Attiya Kashif, Naina Sohail, Aisha Talha and Saleha Waseem )have gathered our skills to represent the cultural heritage of our beloved country.

Jahanara Shawl Wrap is a beautiful rectangular shawl design combining different stitch patterns and colours. It will be going on as a Cal in the group Cal- crochet along starting at the end of March 2020, week1 to be released on March 30. It will have 6 parts in total, releasing one part each week.

This is an, intermediate level pattern. But beginners can, and have successfully attempted it with the help of detailed instructions and pictures. In a workshop done in my friends circle, a group of ladies having different skill levels have made it beautifully.
