Crochet: Toys and Hobbies - Other, Electronics Cozy
Fits a 13 inch MacBook Pro with a bit of room at the top where the opening is, maybe an inch or 2? .
Crochet: Pullover
I have a new free pattern for you, the Sunset Vibes Crochet Top! This one was a collaboration with Hobbii, but with everything that happened this summer I just didn’t get it out as fast as intended. But that’s okay, we’re here now and that’s all that matters.
Crochet: Cardigan
Today we have a free pattern up on the blog, my Magical Garden Cardigan! This one is super special to me, but it was designed a little different than some of my others, so be sure to read the notes and as always, ask questions if I can clear anything up.
Crochet: Headband, Fingerless Gloves
The yarn itself is 100% merino, in sport weight, with approx. 325 yards in the skein. I used about half of my skein, with enough left over for at least another pair of fingerless gloves for Sean.
Knitting: Scarf
Today I have a new knit scarf pattern ready for you and I am entirely too excited about this one. I have only ever really made anything in back and forth rows, or knitting and purling only, but I was a little afraid to do any combination of them past k1/p1.
Crochet: Toys and Hobbies - Other
Looking for a ukulele strap crochet pattern that only takes a weekend (or less) to put together? Look no further than my newest design! My partner got me a ukulele for my birthday this year and I have been having a blast learning how to strum and play chords and I can even get the first part of one of my favorite songs out!
Crochet: Brimmed Hat
This bucket hat was designed with my sweet friend Josefine in mind. The yarn specifically called to me, showcasing how bright and cheery she is, but also soft and incredibly strong. I really think this hat encapsulates all of that. It fits up to a 22 inch / 51 - 56 cm head and is structured enough with the single crochets that it doesn’t fall i...
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
I know you’re supposed to write something clever here, or witty, or even inspiring, but I just don’t ever know what to write when describing my designs so that it doesn’t sound like a food blogger trying to use every SEO/Keyword possible. So here is my corner to corner triangle shawl. I had this gorgeous skein of Lion Brand Bonus Bundle yarn in...
Crochet: Skirt
This Fluidity Skirt is the skirt of this fall I swear. Made with three strands of mohair held together, this is a cozy, warm, fluid skirt. Perfect for layering over tights or rocking bare legged, either way you’re going to look cute as heck.
Crochet: Coat / Jacket, Cardigan
Introducing the Burning Embers Hooded Vest. I have dreamed of designing a hooded vest for years now, and the moment I saw this yarn I knew it was it. The way these colors fade into each other, really any color way would make the prettiest (or masculine!) vest.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
The second this yarn was in my hands I knew exactly what it was going to be. I had a dream when I ordered it that I wanted to make a super pretty shawl, but I wasn’t sure what the structure was going to be. Flash forward to these beauties being in my hands and I knew this wasn’t supposed to have structure, but this was to be the drapiest, airie...
Crochet: Pullover
This Apollo sweater was written for my sweet partner, and I wanted to size it up to 5xl but we couldn’t get testers for it so if you would like to test a 3xl, 4xl, or 5xl email me sam@sambartley.com and I can send it over to you!
Crochet: Messenger Bag
I know you’re supposed to write something clever here, or witty, or even inspiring, but I just don’t ever know what to write when describing my designs so that it doesn’t sound like a food blogger trying to use every SEO/Keyword possible. So here is my super cute Daisy Mesh Bag. Daisies and mesh crochet are being used in all kinds of trends rig...
Crochet: Market bag (slouchy)
I know you’re supposed to write something clever here, or witty, or even inspiring, but I just don’t ever know what to write when describing my designs so that it doesn’t sound like a food blogger trying to use every SEO/Keyword possible. So here is my Daisy Granny Square Bag. I had originally planned on making a cardigan for my first Pride par...
Crochet: Kerchief
I know you’re supposed to write something clever here, or witty, or even inspiring, but I just don’t ever know what to write when describing my designs so that it doesn’t sound like a food blogger trying to use every SEO/Keyword possible. So here is my Cottage Core Bandana. I have seen these all over TikTok but they are all made with mohair or ...
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
I know you’re supposed to write something clever here, or witty, or even inspiring, but I just don’t ever know what to write when describing my designs so that it doesn’t sound like a food blogger trying to use every SEO/Keyword possible. But this time is a little different. This time we are re releasing my absolute favorite beanie, the first d...
Crochet: Scarf
Here is my necktie scarf! I was looking through Ravelry for days to find a crochet version, and they were all knit! And while I love knitting, I knew the crochet stitches would give me the structure to stand on its own around my neck, and the color details of this yarn could really pop. Idk, sometimes I just prefer crochet, yanno?
Crochet: Cowl
Here is the Moonstone Cowl. This is another design I got done in 2020/2021 ish and then Lion Brand discontinued their Wool Ease Roving line about a week after they sent it to me it seemed like, so this pattern didn’t really get its time in to shine and that made me sad, so here is it! (Realistically, it was probably a few weeks, but it seemed w...
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
I designed this back in 2021 for Lion Brand using their heartland yarn, and then I forgot what happened but it didn’t get published and they let me share the pattern anyway. I also don’t remember where this name came from, so that’s also a fun thing.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This beanie is made with less than one skein of LionBrand Woolspun and a 6.5mm hook. The band will fit 20-22 inches around and is 9.5 inches tall.
Crochet: Throw
This is something you all have asked me for since I started doing Facebook lives during the 2020 pandemic. This blanket represents the temperatures of our final year in Michigan, which is super bittersweet because we didn’t know we would be moving when I started it, and it ended up even cozier than expected.
Crochet: Wall Hanging
here is this super cute rainbow wall hanging I came up with when my oldest kiddo asked for something rainbowy and fringy – I think we covered both here
Crochet: Cowl
Cowls are my absolute favorite winter wear. I love how versatile they are, from thick over-sized cozy babies to drapey delicate designs, there are SO many ways to make them. This beauty is made with about 400 yards of size 3 (dk) weight yarn if you don’t have access to Baby Alpaca, but I HIGHLY recommend trying to snag some because the softness...
Crochet: Pullover
This gorgeous wrap was designed with my amazing friends at Lion Brand Yarns gorgeous Touch of Alpaca yarn. I am so obsessed with the way this works up and its stitch definition is spectacular. It stretches without stretching out and handled blocking like the Queen it is. Honestly, it’s been one of my favorites for over a year now, so to design ...
Crochet: Decorative - Other
Here we go Pals! Today I am re-releasing my Crochet Beginner Friendly Market Pumpkin pattern! I wrote this back in 2019 (?) and it was one of my biggest sellers each year I did markets.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
Things are a bit hectic over here as market prep is in overdrive and I figured why not give you the beanie pattern I have been working up on repeat this month! This is a mega simple pattern and I also have a tutorial on my YouTube channel
Crochet: Sleeveless Top
My FAVORITE part about this design is how versatile it is! I have worn this to the lake, obviously, but there are SO many other options. Maybe you get done at the pool and want ice cream but don’t want to change out of your swim suit yet, throw this on! Want to go get dinner? Throw this on over a cami dress (or your swim suit, because why not?)...
Crochet: Vest
This baby is the perfect accessory to your summer shenanigans. The open mandala back is a one size fits all and a great beginner piece with some flair. The fringe give you that boho vibes and also, cmon, its fringe. ((I am 99% sure everything this summer has fringe and I am ALL ABOUT IT))
Crochet: Sleeveless Top
This cute tank top is perfect to throw on over your swim suit or a strappy bra to a concert in the park. I designed this using comfy cotton by Lion Brand but you can use another cotton blend, just be sure to meet gauge.
Crochet: Scarf
Today I am showing you a drapey blanket shawl made up of beautiful Tunisian mesh stitches.
Crochet: Cowl
Today we are working up a delightful combination of squishy and warm, all in about 2.5 hours! I have a ton of “close to my neck” cowls, and I really wanted something a bit drapey with a thickness that could battle the harsh Michigan winds. I love that I can wear this with my heavy jacket, but still rock it inside without getting too hot!
Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
Today’s fingerless gloves are a simple pattern with a few more fancy stitches to help push you a smidge outside of your comfort zone and give you a few more skills! We will be working with back post double crochet, front post double crochets, and my favorite way to finish 99% of my projects, the crab stitch.
Crochet: Headband
My Brenton Headband is an easy work up with a small amount of yarn and you can easily knock out 3-4 in a short crochet sesh. It’s a smidge taller than most headbands so it also works well as a messy bun accessory and covers your ears completely, and I promise you will need one in every color.
Crochet: Christmas Stocking
This adorable holiday stocking is perfect to make for decorating your mantel or giving to family as a cherished heirloom. By changing the chevron color you can customize to your favorite colors or cartoon character or sports theme!
Knitting: Cowl
The Luxe Loopy Cowl is a cozy ball of a cloud wrapped in velvet and if you have ever wanted to be a little bit “extra” well, this is the perfect pattern for you. The bernat alize ez yarn works this up mega fast and the border of velvet gives it just a bit more stability and squish factor.
Crochet: Cowl
The Grace cowl is the perfect accessories to keep your neck warm without weighing you down with an oversized scarf. The puff stitches are delicate but keep the wind out, and it is light enough to wear with a tank top or tshirt into your favorite restaurant without being too overbearing.
Crochet: Coat / Jacket
The Creation Cardigan is perfect for any beginner crocheter looking to push their skills a little bit. My cardigan took me about 14 hours to make, some of my testers finished two (almost 3) in a week, and some were hitting the two week deadline on their first. It really just depends on how long you crochet, how quick you are, and a variety of o...
Crochet: Scarf
Oversized blanket scarves are my jam. There is something about the simplicity and versatility of these cozy scarves that makes me make smile. Want it longer? Keep repeating the rows. Want to add stripes? Change colors before you finish off the last stitch in the row with your new color and chain 2.
Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
These lovely fingerless gloves are perfect for crocheters who want to extend their skills just a little bit and learn a new way to create something that was only for knitters for the longest time. You can use almost any acrylic or acrylic wool blend, but I recommend Wool Ease due to how it holds the cables up but is still soft and stretchy enou...
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This cozy wool blend beanie is perfect to whip up in an evening (most of my testers had it back within an hour or so). Any super bulky (size 6) yarn will work wonderfully, and it might actually work with two strands of size 4 held together too for a bit of a different texture!
Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
This pattern works up super quick and easy, even for beginner crocheters (you might have to look up a few tutorials if you are unsure of the stitches).
Crochet: Market bag (slouchy)
This amazing little market bag is perfect for more than just the farmers market! With the texture of the yarn and the spacing of the stitches it is fantastic for a day at the beach or park as well! Fit everything you need inside and off you go!
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
Here is my double brimmed beanie pattern! This is probably one of my favorite beanies I have ever made, I love the folded brim at the end! Wearing it unfolded creates more of a slouchy feel so 2-in-1!
Crochet: Cowl
This is definitely not a hard pattern, I use this one to teach in my classes, and it works up quickly so you can enjoy it with just enough time left before winter finally decides to leave for good. (When is that anyway???)
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
Cozy puffy stitch beanie worked from the bottom up and topped off with the sweetest of poms.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This warm cozy beanie is great for beginners. The pattern is very forgiving, and even if you crochet tighter (most new crocheters tend to crochet very tight) it stretches enough to still fit. I used almost 1 skein of yarn, any chunky yarn will work for this, and I still had enough for a pom pom after. (I will add that pattern later on). If you ...
Crochet: Scarf
I am obsessed with Lion Brand Mandala yarn. I could probably make about 300 of these scarfs/shawls if I had the yarn for it. This pattern creates a soft, squishy, cozy scarf. I added tassels to one and fell in love with that too. I am still learning on how to write out patterns, so if you have any questions, feel free to comment and I will do m...
