Loved this stitch pattern based on “Wickerwork” from Barbara Walker’s A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns. Offers a picot top edge and a nice twist in a fast and interesting pair of socks!

While a k2 p2 stitch pattern can hardly be called original, recently when I wore this little neck warmer a friend, a new knitter, asked where I got the pattern. Hmm….well, I just made it up as I went along - ripping it out a couple of times - to get the snug-around-the-neck-fit that I wanted.

Knitting with beads really adds an element of interest both while knitting and while wearing these socks.
