Knitting: Cowl
A simple idea—take one of my favorite lace patterns, Drooping Elm Leaf from Barbara Walker’s “A Treasury of Knitting Patterns”, add it to a simple stockinette cowl, and add just a few beads….and that’s how this pattern was born.
Knitting: Slippers
It seems as though I have been looking for that “perfect” slipper pattern for forever. So, rather than keep looking, I decided to design a pair for myself that incorporates all of the details I have been
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Reducing the number of rows between each cable repeat creates this great effect of the cables getting tighter and tighter as they travel up
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Another take on the classic watch cap—replacing the classic K2P2 ribbing with a Garter Rib. This design maintains the classic lines
Knitting: Table Setting - Other
Knitted using Sparrow, the most exquisite, 100% organic, Belgian linen yarn from Quince & Co., this Challah Cover will become a family heirloom and become softer and softer with use.
Knitting: Christmas Stocking
Aside from pine trees and holly, nothing says Christmas to me more than a Christmas Stocking. Brimming with treats, they have always been my favorite part of Christmas morning.
Knitting: Mittens
The winter sky isn’t just grey. There is a spectrum of colors in a grey winter sky and MadelineTosh’s Pashmina in Rainwater has them all…These mittens have a unique, stylish cuff and will keep you hands warm all winter.
Knitting: Cowl
Combining my favorite lace traditions, Orenburg Lace and this lovely cowl technique…and making it ridiculously over-sized created this amazing cowl!
Knitting: Hats - Other
This had began as a swatch a long time ago. I was playing around with cables and lace combinations and thought it would make a nice hat. But none of the yarns I was using at the time worked how I envisioned.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
I came up with this stitch pattern while swatching one day. I accidentally twisted the slip stitch and loved the effect so I made it the feature in this sock.
Knitting: Scarf
Please note that you will need 400 beads. I used 6mm beads that worked well with the 1.0mm crochet hook.

Knitting: Hats - Other, Cowl
I first learned this technique at a workshop at Woolcott and Company in Cambridge, MA. The shop I was later to own.
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This is truly not your average wash mitt. While, at first glance this wash mitt looks like every other one, this will be knitted in the round (on two circs) starting with Judy’s Magical Cast-On The unique quality of this pattern is that one side of the “circular knitting” that is, the stitches on one of the two needles will be double knit, crea...
Knitting: Cape
The design of this capelet was influenced by Cat Bordi’s Swirling Capes design from her book, A Treasury of Magical Knitting and by Sivia Harding’s Harmonia’s Rings Cowl. I’ve been wanting to design something that grows from the magic of a moebius, but was looking to create something for summer, a garment that you could throw over your shoulder...
