This cosy coastline shawl is a classic triangle shape with a stunning but simple design running along one side of the shawl. I love triangle shawls, they are so versatile to wear, cow boy style with the V at the front, around the shoulders or with a shawl pin or cuff to name a few.

I created this cowl with autumn in mind, knowing that cooler weather will mean a cold neck, especially when I have my hair up.

This pattern can be worked with a single-coloured yarn or with contrasting cuffs, heels and toes: look out for the useful ‘Notes’ to indicate where you should change colour.

This blanket was inspired because of the many scraps of 4ply sock yarn I had and I kept thinking I would one day use them. Well I did, and I am super pleased with it.

This is a great pattern for beginners and it uses a simple garter stitch to create a lovely shawl. There is also the opportunity to learn a couple of new stitches and also have a great shawl to show off at the end. There are also some links in the pattern to youtube to help show you how to create certain stitches.
