I’ve wanted to make something like this for a while. A pattern that would help a beginner knitter to not only learn the basics, but keep them interested without frightening the be’jeebus out of them straight off by saying “Here’s the pattern for a sweater – have fun!”.

A cowl designed in honour of the sisters I know and those I don’t, to those who are close and those who are beyond my reach in this world but not the next. You are my inspiration, my comfort, my joy. You are my beautiful sisters and I am blessed.

You may have guessed that the inspiration for this scarf was the eccentric sartorial styling of Doctor Who - a super long scarf that can easily be wrapped thrice around the neck with length to spare.

I knitted the sample for this pattern using a now discontinued Chopped Tomatoes yarn, but will be adding suggestions to the page as I think of them. Any yummy, squishy 4-ply will do nicely and anything with a small acrylic percentage will increase wearablility.
