This bag is begun by working the main body in rows, then side shaping and handles. The pattern features option for using 8ply cotton/4mm hook as well. Exact gauge is not important. Crochet: Market bag (slouchy)
This bag is created firstly by crocheting the body in the shape of a rectangle, then shaping the sides and handles. If you wish to add a lining, I suggest you insert before doing the handles. The pattern can be used for 8ply (DK) or 10ply (WW) using either a 4mm or 5mm hook.
Crochet: Market bag (slouchy)
A simple string bag for the market. Worked in the round beginning at the bottom. Pattern is also written for 10ply cotton. Very stretchy bag so wouldn’t do any larger than indicated on pattern. If you’re concerned about the bag swinging and hitting the ground as you walk, make the main body shorter. Pictured samples done in Bendigo Woollen Mill...
