Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
It might sound like a strange tradition, but I make a few knitted dishcloths each year for my adult sons and tuck them into their Christmas stockings – even young bachelors like to use handmade cotton dishcloths in their kitchens.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Spooky Spirit Ghost Hat is a toddler or child-sized pointed beanie in worsted weight yarn, knit in the round in single rib (knit1 purl1) with a simple face on top using colour-work.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
“Baby Bébé” is a simple baby-size blanket in either bulky or super-bulky (chunky or super-chunky) weight yarns, creating alternate bands of garter and stockinette stitch. There is no lace or openwork for catching wee fingers or toes and because of the basic design simplicity, lends itself to using busier, multi-coloured and self-striping yarns.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
“Fun With Flags” was originally inspired and written as my token to the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeong Chang, but could be adapted for any of those events where we are inspired to unfurl our flags and show our colours!
Knitting: Cowl
Oh Canada Cowl is released in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday. It is knit flat with sections of red ribbing alternating with a maple leaf motif on white worked in stockinette stitch in a mixture of intarsia and stranded colourwork.
Knitting: Cowl
For Canadians, the cream and 4 colour stripes - green, red, yellow and black are readily recognizable and associated with the Hudson’s Bay blanket and a part of our heritage.
Knitting: Blanket - Other
For special little monkeys - as cosy and snuggly as a nice thick pair of work socks.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Strips & Stripes is a simple rectangular garter stitch wrap in worsted weight yarn. The combination of strips and stripes adds that extra little bit of interest and edginess. It is designed to let the knitter personalize their project with infinite combinations of stripes and colours.
