Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This pattern was designed post hand surgery. It was designed in garter stitch for ease of knitting.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
In the newest version I have changed the way the finished seams are done. This resulted in a sleeker more elegant glove.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This piece was designed for my favorite knitting student Trisha. We were working on new skills, so this is a great beginner pattern for knitters. Trisha first wanted a table runner for her dresser so the pattern was designed with this in mind. By the time we finished working on the project it was summer in Tucson and the table runner became a l...
Knitting: Scarf
I just love knitting geometric patterns. I used to knit geometric patterns as I walked around knitting. The patterns just seem to flow from the knitting needles. I never wrote them down and they were almost impossible for me to go back and recreate them. Square Dance is my first attempt to sit down and knit a geometric pattern. I kept it simple...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl was designed for a completion at Grandma’s Spinning Wheel in Tucson Arizona. This shawl was knit during an arthritis flare up in where I could not feel my hands at all do to numb hands, thus the name The N.H. Shawl. This is why it is knit on such large knitting needles. This is also why you will also always be knitting with 2 strands...
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This is a modular baby blanket with a twist. There will be some traditional modular knitting squares. This includes the mitered squares, in which you decrease every other row. This happens in the middle of the row to form a mitered corner. There will also be some rest blocks with straight garter stitch. This is followed by a crocheted edging. I...

This Shawl comes in 1 size as written. It is smaller than shawls 1 and 2 in the series do to using a size 2 knitting needle. During winter I put the deep part of the shawl in front to another layer of warmth under a jacket.

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is one of those accidental knitting patterns. My husband John had designed a new yarn butler for slippery yarn that is small and portable for my local yarn shop. I was doing the Alpha testing on the yarn butler over Thanksgiving weekend.
Knitting: Potholder
This pattern was designed after a third long week of my son being sick. My hands were too tired to hold any smaller knitting needles. So 2 stands of worsted weight yarn, U.S. size 17 knitting needles and 5 hot pads later it was time to write the pattern out. My only caution for this pattern is to hold the 2 strands securely together otherwise y...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl pattern is a modified summer shawl that I made years ago, before I learned the importance of making notes on what I knit. A Tucson knitter had asked for the pattern. As usual after 8 years the yarn was no longer available, I am not even sure if that Indy yarn company is still in business. So this is my current interruption of that su...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Sometimes I fully intend a hand knit object to look like something, and then 15 or 20 rows into the pattern the yarn has made up its mind that it wants to be something else. I really intended this hat to be a 3 way hat, but the yarn was too bulky for the folds that I needed to make. I really like the softness that this bulky yarn from Brown She...
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This is my rendering of the saguaro cactus outside my kitchen table window. I must admit that I did not use all 6 arms of the cactus, instead opting to use only 3 arms. Using only knit and purl stitches I managed to make the pattern reversible. Instead of using a sketch, I knit this by enjoying my view of the cactus. The area that looks like a ...
