This jacket/cardigan can be made in any suitable dk weight yarn that produces the correct tension.

Though I used Paintbox super chunky yarn, you can use any yarn that gives the required tension. You can also mix yarns, ie. 4 ends of dk or 3 ends of Aran as long as tension works.
