Lohi is a tribute to the amazing wild salmon which, unfortunately, was recently listed as endangered in Norway. I’m crossing my fingers that we manage to save the wild salmon, and that future generations get to experience some of what I’ve been so fortunate to experience while fishing.

My grandmother Astrid digged through old photos and found this picture of her and my great-grandmother with a magnificent catch in the 60s. Grandma loves wild salmon and was thrilled when I started flyfishing back in 2014. She gladly joined me on trips to the river just for the sake of the journey.

A female hiker in Norway is often referred to as a Fjellgeit. This headband is a good place to start, if you’re new to knitting. It’s worked in the round on a small circular needle.
