Knitting: Baby Blanket
Lilly is a slightly more adventurous pattern repeat than some of my previous blankets. For quite a while, I had a vision in my head of a blanket that used purl bumps to create a triangular pattern on the front of the work.

At this time of year I love to work on small, quick projects. Last year I showed you how to make Tiny Little Santa Hats, and this year I’m showing you how to knit these super cute teeny tiny stockings!

Meet Forrest - My take on a festive blanket! For a while now I’ve wanted to knit a Christmas blanket, but didn’t want it to be something that screamed Christmas so strongly that it just wouldn’t appeal to someone who happened to stumble across the pattern during the other months of the year.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Just over a year ago I knitted a blanket named Harvey, and if you’ve been a follower of mine for a while you’ll remember that I enjoyed the style so much I later knitted another, similar, blanket named Taylor.

If you’ve come across my blankets before, you’ll probably have noticed that one of my favourite knits is a corner to corner garter stitch blanket.

Lucas is a reversible blanket design, the pattern looks virtually identical on both sides which makes it a really versatile knit. Strips of stockinette and reverse stockinette sandwiched in-between garter stitch give great texture, whilst still being a relatively simple knit for the less experienced knitters amongst you.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
A lot of my blankets use modern geometric patterns for the textured panel, but sometimes I get the urge to knit something a little more traditional. Heather is worked using a super chunky basketweave pattern, which gives her bags of texture and a more traditional feel.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
If texture is what you’re looking for the Louis is the pattern you’ve been waiting for! Combining stripes of stockinette with super textured stripes gives Louis the ultimate squish factor!
Knitting: Baby Blanket
The “Finley” Baby Blanket, is in design terms, the younger sibling of my “Toby” Baby Blanket. I had so much fun combining seed stitch, stockinette stitch and purl ridges when knitting Toby, that I wanted to revisit the idea and create something totally different but with that same super textured look.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
As baby blankets go, Sasha is an absolute classic. Simple blocks of stockinette and reverse stockinette create sleek, modern stripes. This combination also results in a reversible pattern - something I know a lot of knitters look for when making baby blankets.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
The Milo Baby Blanket packs a lot of punch in a very short repeat. In just an 8 row repeat you have a sleek, modern blanket that’s not only full of texture, but the clean modern lines make it the perfect baby knit.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
The “Hannah” Baby Blanket combines garter stitch, with a textured panel. This is one of my favourite ways of constructing a blanket as the strips of garter stitch that separate the textured panel give a really nice rhythmic feel to the knitting and the design always seems to fly off my needles that bit quicker.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
In blanket design terms, the Robin Baby Blanket is the younger cousin of my Emma Baby Blanket. The design uses the same techniques but in a shorter repeat. The result is a super cosy, super cuddly blanket with bags of texture and a nice, short 8 row repeat.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
I never get bored of the soothing repetition of knit and purl stitches. It still amazes me how using them in different patterns can produce a wealth of different designs and textures. Willow is no exception, the design has my all time favourite garter stitch border (something about it’s simplicity just makes me happy every time I use it), and h...

Learn to Knit Wren with me! The simplicity of Stockinette Stitch is peppered with a cute little floral-esq motif created using just knit and purl stitches. Once again, simplicity wins out over complexity for me - but I like to think its a winning formula, and most importantly it’s a simple, enjoyable knit suitable for anyone who can knit and pu...
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Even though I’m an experienced knitter, I love to knit blankets that combine just knit and purl stitches to create a project thats not just simple to knit, but is one that looks great too.
Knitting: Hanging Ornament
I love handmade Christmas Decorations on my tree, and over the years I’ve grown a lovely little collection - but the sad fact is that until now, none have been made by me. So I decided it was time to change that!
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Clean modern lines, and bags of texture make Toby one of my favourite blankets I’ve knitted to date. I’ve combined Seed, Garter and Stockinette stitch in stripes of varying thickness to give a blanket that’s great for an adventurous beginner wanting to practice the skills they’ve learnt, or a more experienced knitter looking for a soothing easy...
Knitting: Scarf
If you thought it isn’t possible to knit ribbing without using purl stitches, then you need to take a quick peep at this super squishy, chunky knit scarf! In the entire scarf there are only 7 purl stitches, and those are ALL in the cast off row of the pattern.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Daisy is a perfect example of a project not needing to be complicated to be interesting and modern. Using a simple simple one row repeat, Daisy is a beautifully soft garter stitch blanket, with little columns of purl stitches adding a tiny bit of texture just to make her stand out from the crowd.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This blanket has to be one of my ultimate easy-knits. I don’t know what it is about blankets knitted diagonally (or on the bias / corner to corner) but they just seem to fly off my needles at a speed that no other project does. I know this is probably just my perception, but it helps massively when you want to knit up the perfect baby gift in r...
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Baby blanket knitting patterns come in all shapes and styles nowadays, from traditional styles, to much more modern ones like Fearne. Not only have I chosen a sleek pattern for this design, I’ve knitted my sample in a lovely deep olive green - straying from the more traditional shades you often see baby blankets knitted in.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
I had so much fun knitting my Harvey blanket design a few months ago, that during my summer break I had the urge to knit a blanket that was similar, but with twist!
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Sometimes it’s not the stitch pattern in a knitting project that pushes you out of your comfort zone. Often it can be something as simple as colour. If you’re familiar with my work, you’ll know that I’m drawn to bright, bold, more modern shades, and that means that historically I’ve shied away from using more traditional pastel shades.

ola is a happy accident! When I initially cast on this blanket, I had a slightly different vision for how I wanted this stitch pattern to turn out. After 3 repeats I realised two things:

Meet Eric! Knitted during a very sunny heatwave here in England so the name seemed appropriate ((Eric) Morecambe & Wise - Bring Me Sunshine for those of you not familiar with the song).
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Harvey is a little more complicated than previous blanket patterns I’ve shared with you all, but I really really enjoyed knitting him, so I hope the fact he’s a little more technically challenging won’t put you off - I promise you that even though he’s a 20 row repeat incorporating a stitch pattern that’s a little more complex than my other bla...
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Beautiful blankets don’t have to be complicated to achieve a beautiful pattern. Stanley is just a 2 row repeat, making it the perfect quick knit blanket for those last minute baby gifts.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Meet Arthur! A snuggly knitted blanket with a clean and modern grid pattern created using just knit and purl stitches. I think I’ve definitely found my favourite type of knitted blanket as these illusion blankets bring me so much joy to knit. I hope you enjoy knitting them as much as I do :-)
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl can be knitted in any weight yarn you like, you will just end up with a thicker, or airier shawl depending on whether you choose a heavier or lighter yarn.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Still with the clean lines and striking illusion pattern that I love, Rosie consists of Garter Stitch & Stockinette Triangles and whilst this isn’t a reversible pattern, the wrong side is still clean and tidy, what more could you ask for?
Knitting: Baby Blanket
I’ve named this blanket the “In Fours” Blanket, as I found myself counting to 4 whilst knitting it to remind myself of where I was in the pattern repeat, so it felt the obvious choice when it came to naming! I don’t claim to have created anything particularly unique, but it’s a blanket that I really enjoyed knitting and I’m excited to share it ...
Knitting: Scarf
Level up your Garter Stitch with this fun and easy diagonal knit scarf. This project is perfect for the adventurous beginner wanting to step away from the very basic first projects often suggested.
Crochet: Potholder
If you hate projects that involve sewing then this double thick crochet potholder is for you!
Knitting: Scarf
I used Scheepjes Namaste - the soft roving texture of the yarn makes the scarf so soft and squishy! But you can use any yarn that calls for 8mm needles (If you use lighter/heavier yarn then you will find your scarf width is different to mine).
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Knit this funky modern Chevron blanket with me! Makes for a perfect baby gift in bright modern colours. It’s knitted in garter stitch, using a simple increase and decrease to create the points and troughs of the chevron. This is a great blanket for a beginner who has mastered the basic knit stitch and wants to tackle something slightly more adv...
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This beautiful Fisherman’s Rib baby blanket is incredibly soft and textured, and is a great modern project for any baby gift. It has a built in Garter Stitch edging which helps the ribbed middle section stand out even further.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This blanket is my go-to quick knit. With its super simple corner to corner method, and only 3 types of stitch used, its a great project to work up when you’re in want of a nice mindless knit, and with its buit in edge, and soft garter stitch pattern, the finished product is beautifully modern in its simplicity.
