These booties are worked using double stranded medium weight yarn. There are two cuff options to finish included with both sizes available. If you choose to do a folded cuff, pipsqueak yarn is not necessary. I have not tested this pattern for 12-24 months. Both of my daughters love these booties and my older one keeps them on all night long!

This is a beanie pattern worked from the top down using double stranded 4 weight yarn. It is made to fit snug on most men, with the option to use larger K 6 mm hook for a larger hat. One tester followed the pattern using single strand 4 weight yarn and found that it made a child size hat.

This pattern is worked in vertical rows and then joined half way up the cocoon using slip stitch. The bottom is then cinched shut and buttons added. The 5 single crochet at the beginning of each even row and end of each odd row create a narrower bottom for the cocoon and make it lay smoother once cinched shut. This is a simple double crochet back loop only pattern me to create the stripes that is then seamed up the side and cinched closes at the bottom. Add a few rows of half double crochet in blue around the top and then finish off by adding the stars of your choice.
