Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
The pattern is designed to be printed on the front and back of a standard piece of paper so that it can be folded in half like a pamphlet to easily fit in a book, project bag, etc.

Smocking is traditionally an embroidery technique done on light weight fabrics such as silk and cotton. It developed in England for the practicality purposes of allowing a garment to be form fitting and flexible in areas such as necklines, wrist cuffs, and bodices/waists.

For Fred’s Woobie, 2 skeins each of Ushya colors 1703 & 1706 were used and the yarn color was switched every 10 rows for stripes.

Pattern is easily modified to adjust for differing hand sizes. Most Sport or DK weight yarns can be substituted. Swatching is recommended. Last image was knit from Handspun fiber.
