This works well with variegated yarn. I used 4 ounces of cotton yarn from a cone, with approximate yardage of 200 yards. More yardage will be needed if you want a longer or wider dish towel.

I used 2 skeins of Lion brand Cashmere, with a total yardage of approx 170 yards. One skein Malabrigo will be more than enough.

I used one skein of this chunky yarn and size 15 US needles. this would be perfect for handspun yarn as well.
