HOPHOUSE socks are knitted cuff down featuring all over colourwork and strong-style heel construction. I used no-nylon Snowdonia sock yarn for the very first sample and wanted to create socks that have colourwork not only on the leg and foot, but also on heels and toes, in hope that it will make them more durable.

The design of this little hat has come to me during long walks with my dogs in the nearby woodlands here in the west or Ireland. The pattern is very intuitive and easy to memorise and reminds me of the little fir trees we have growing around here.

An Idea for these mittens came to me during long walks with my dogs in the nearby pine woods.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These fingerless mittens are knitted in the round from the cuff up to the top and have an arched gusset that allows for a very comfortable fit. They are cute, warm and very practical for cold weather months. I use them when taking my dogs for a walk, going out early in the morning to feed the chickens or to bring some firewood in.
