The Adelia collection is the perfect cowl and mitts set to keep you warm and cozy on cool days. The pattern includes three variations on one lovely floral and heart motif; a cowl, fingerless mitts and full mitts. I love how soft and delicate the pattern looks when worked in subtly contrasting tones, and then how it turns into something completely fun and funky when done in brighter, bolder shades. Just because the weather is turning cooler doesn’t mean we can’t still have fun with flowers!

eBook : 4 patterns

An e-book with four patterns, each featuring the gradient chevron rainbow that inspired me so much that I just couldn’t stop working with it! The colourwork portion of these designs is deceptively simple, it’s all worked with slipped stitches, so you’re never knitting with more than one colourway at a time. The collection features a ladies cardigan and hat as well as a baby cardigan and hat. Something for everyone!

eBook : 4 patterns

I designed the Lucky penny Baby Collection for my son throughout the first year of his life. I designed and knit the Keyfit Baby Blanket while I was expecting him. When he was born and we met our little boy I designed his first hoodie! When the weather turned cooler and he needed a hat the Frosted Alpine hat was born. And finally, as a new mom to a baby boy I had no idea I would become such a huge fan of the knit vest! It’s the perfect layering piece for my smart little man.

eBook : 6 patterns

The 2015 TFA Year In Colour Club has a “Patterns Only” membership option! Every second month (January, March, May, July, September and November) this eBook will be updated with a new exclusive pattern designed to feature a different TFA yarn base. 6 designs ranging from lace weight through worsted weight - single skein projects - fun galore!

eBook : 4 patterns

The slouchy hat is not only a super versatile and flattering style, but it’s also the perfect canvas on which to experiment and play with colour and pattern. The Four Seasons is a collection of designs, each inspired by a season. All 4 hats follow the same set of instructions, it’s just the charts that are different. I’ve chosen to show them all in a colour palette evoked by the season they represent, but feel free to play with colour and mix it up!

eBook : 4 patterns

A collection of four shawl designs, each featuring a different Tanis Fiber Arts fingering weight yarn base. The shawls are all unique, like each star in the sky. Stella is Latin for ‘star’, two shawls are inspired by stars in constellations, and two are inspired by the biggest star of all - the sun!

Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Thick stripes, thin stripes, horizontal, vertical. These socks have it all for my fellow stripe lovers! Heck, why not throw a sweet cable down the heel too for a little fun. These were a really rewarding “design as you go” project for me. I just started knitting a comfy ribbed sock and decided to see where the stripes would take me. My original...

I am not over Granny squares. My love for them is still full blown. It’s so deeply rooted that granny squares have become my new sock project. The project that is always sitting in a basket beside my knitting nook ready to be grabbed at any moment for a few quick stitches. This cardigan is my ode to my favourite colour palette done up in my cur...

I have had the idea for this sweater in my mind (and in my heart!) for years but I was too daunted by the unknowns of combining crochet with knitting to tackle it. Well, now that I’ve done it, I don’t know what I was afraid of! These sister crafts were meant to work together and I am beyond thrilled with the results. This sweater combines just ...

Knitting: Pullover
When I designed my original worsted weight City Limits sweater pattern I had no idea what a staple it would become in my pattern collection. It quickly became my go-to pattern for gift knits. It’s such a versatile shape and lends itself so well to any number of simple modifications (stripes anyone?) and I knew that I needed to add a fingering w...
Knitting: Cowl
I can’t be the only person squirrelling away single skeins of special yarn for a rainy day, am I? I designed this cowl to use exactly one such skein. I am very particular about my cowls, I need them to be sturdy and seductive! I need my cowls to hold their shape and stand up to really do the hard work of keeping the wind off my neck and chin. T...
Knitting: Tee, Sleeveless Top
If I had a dollar for every time I described one of my summer knits as easy breezy I could retire! But, how else can I describe how it feels to wear a drapey silk/linen tee with a pretty peekaboo cable side detail? It’s literally the definition of easy breezy and I stand by it. The Quayside tee is exactly what I want to be wearing during the su...
Knitting: Tee
The Flip Side Tee combines two of my all time favourite things: a knitted tee and STRIPES! Of course this simple crew neck tee looks just as fabulous in a solid, but if you present me with a panel of stockinette stitch I will be compelled to add stripes! It’s just in my nature. Featuring a lovely a graphic eyelet detail that flows gracefully fr...
Knitting: Pullover
The name of the game for this sweater design is simple, comfortable, easy to wear, flattering shape elevated with a touch of elegance through simple details. The cables start at the neckline and travel down the raglan all the way to the hem. The knitted on cable edgings all around the pretty boatneck and cuffs are such a neat alternative to rib...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This sock pattern really speaks to my soul! I think that I’ve avoided designing socks with too much leg detail because I thought that they would always be covered by the bottom of my pants. How wrong was I!? A beautiful sock peaking out from between your shoes and pant cuff is such a sweet detail. Or layer these socks over tights or leggings. T...
Knitting: Scarf
I designed this scarf to highlight a very special skein of DK weight yarn that I had been saving for a worthy project. I decided that my first brioche design was worthy indeed! This pattern is a great introduction to 2 colour brioche. You will master increases as well as right and left leaning decreases and will be ready to tackle something mor...

Iggy Peck, Architect by Andrea Beaty is one of our favourite kids books. The story is great but the thing that grabbed my attention from the very first time I laid eyes on it was the illustration by David Roberts. I looked up synonyms for the word “diamond” since diamonds feature prominently in these sock patterns and the word jager popped up. Jager is apparently an old word whch means the very best of quality within the colour grading of colourless diamonds and “buying these diamonds is a good investment.” So, I think it’s fair to say that knitting this...

Tell me, is there anything cozier than a generously cabled hat? I certainly can’t think of anything. This all-over cabled beauty has the addition of tiny polkadot like bobbles interspersed between the staggered ribbons of 6 stitch rope cables. Knitting: Earflap Hat
How many hearts is too many hearts for one hat? That’s a trick question because obviously the answer is: “There’s no such thing as too many hearts!” This simple fair isle hat is taken up a notch with the addition of heart shaped earflaps. Though absolutely adorable they add a double layer of warmth over the ears making them a practical

Can a sweater be light and drapey while at the same time being cozy and chunky? I think this sweater design proves that the answer to that question is a resounding YES! The Duo Chrome pullover is a classic, everyday style sweater with a very simple and colourful twist. The casual yoked shape and fit is livened up with a bit of colour blocking in the hems. Last July I became obsessed with knitting with every colour of the rainbow! The Aubade shawl is knit in the round from the center out. It’s a classic Pi Shawl with a few cleverly placed increase rounds and lots of simple knitting in between. The Bract hat makes the most of a single skein of worsted or aran weight yarn. Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I originally designed this simple triangular shawl to use a special skein of handspun, then modified the size to use a full skein of multicoloured fingering weight yarn. I designed this baby blanket to show off a wide range of tonal yarns. It’s knit in 1 piece with 1 seam to sew at the end. As it is a blanket, gauge is not crucial.
