Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This reversible shawl consists of a repeated diamond pattern that alternates knit and purl diamond rows and a garter stitch edge on both edges. It starts with a CO of 4 sts and increases are made on both sides of every RS row. The diamond pattern is shown in a chart and with instructions. It is a 10 st and 20 row repeat.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Virtually any yarn can be used but I would recommend a washable fiber. The finished size will be determined by the yarn you use and the needles used are the size the yarn label recommends. The lace panels are the Rosary stitch and they are surrounded by garter stitch rows for structure. The lace is a 8-stitch/8-row repeat and the pattern has wr...
Knitting: Tee
I LOVE stripes! I wanted a t-shirt pattern using the wonderful Hempathy yarn and I wanted a “flat saddle” not a slanted saddle which is most common with saddle construction. (The front and back stitches are picked up while creating the saddle which makes the saddle slant from high at the neck to low at the sleeve.). This pattern starts with two...
Knitting: Pullover
Knit from the top down with raglan sleeves and no seams, this pullover features diagonal ribbing. The ribbing is k4p4 which moves diagonally every other round, both right-leaning and left leaning. At the separation of body and sleeves the direction changes and makes a diamond center on the front and the back. If desired, use contrast yarn to ed...
Knitting: Vest
The beauty of knitting miter squares is that you pick up and cast on as you go. There are no seams in the fabric of this vest. It is worked flat with the only seams at the shoulders and a seam at the front for a pullover vest. It can also be made as a cardigan vest by adding button bands on the fronts.
Knitting: Cardigan
This cardigan is knit from the top down with raglan sleeves and no seams. The Feather & Fan pattern along the fronts and on the back is a 6-row repeat with a garter stitch across the 6th row. Techniques used are: YO, K2tog and SSK. Raglan increases are made using LLI and RLI. You can find many “youtube” tutorials that provide instructions f...

Knitting: Pullover
I was fortunate enough to travel to Amsterdam a few years ago and purchased this beautiful linen/cotton blend yarn at Stephen and Penelope’s. This design starts with saddle shoulders and is knit all in one piece from the shoulders down. There are NO SEAMS! The sleeve and body increases are made using LLI and RLI. You can find many “youtube” tut...
Knitting: Pullover
Remix Light is one of my favorite yarns. It is a wool-free yarn made of 100% recycled fibers and comes in 22 beautiful colors. I picked out these 3 colors for a striped pullover with a fan and feather pattern on the front and at the hem and cuffs. The sleeves are a ¾ length.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Tumalo Shawl is a play on directional knitting. I used 3 balls of solid cotton colors that blended nicely with a variegated skein of similar colors. The pattern features diagonal eyelet ribs of stockinette and reverse stockinette. Color A begins at the point of the triangle shaped shawl with diagonal ribs that slant to the right.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The Knitterbug Shawl is a good beginner’s pattern that uses a few standard knitting elements: garter stitch, yarn-over increases, and an I-cord edging. If you are familiar with these elements you will whiz through this pattern. If you are not familiar with any of these, you will be happy to learn these simple and commonly used techniques, and e...
Knitting: Pullover
Aunt Sade Pullover is knit in the round from the bottom up in one piece, separated at the underarm and then worked flat. The drop shoulder sleeves are added with stitches picked up from the armhole.
Knitting: Cardigan
Knit from the bottom up, with drop shoulder sleeves and a lapel/collar. This long jacket-style cardigan is lightweight in linen/cotton, or it can be made in wool for more warmth.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This baby blanket can be made in one color or many colors. You can use colors to suit your own aesthetics. You could also make the blanket larger by adding additional sections.
Knitting: Curtain
I have a kitchen window that needed new cafe style curtains. AND I have a stash of beautiful yarns. I used this fingering yarn to knit two panels of lace cafe curtains. Isager Bomulin works great, but any fingering yarn would also work well.
Knitting: Vest
This is a quick knit for a nice layering garment. It is knit from the bottom up in one piece. The only seams are at the shoulders. This yarn comes in many great colors but any similar weight yarn will work. Also, it is your choice if you want to use a zipper or buttons.
Knitting: Cloche Hat
This hat pattern is designed to make a hat that fits well. The pattern starts with a cable band made the circumference of your head, with a buttonhole. Stitches are then picked up for the crown and knit in stockinette.
