Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Many years ago I came across a website of yarn. Gorgeous, soft, bold, and ultimately very tempting colours. It was that of Artist’s Palette Yarns. Over the years of torturing my bank balance Juliet’s yarns filled the majority of my stash. After six years since I became addicted, I was brave enough to use the most precious of those skeins to des...

Named after my Aunt Diana due to the way the contrast yarn reminded me of the delicate icing that adorns all the beautifully decorated cakes she makes. The shape is based on the pi-construction, but it isn’t quite a true pi-shawl. The main colour works well with a gentle semi-solid, wild variant, or a beautiful gradient, whilst the contrast yar...

Anne’s Shawl was designed for my Aunt Anne, one of the nicest and kindest people I know. I wanted a shawl that would wrap around you and hug you, and so this is a pi-shaped shawl with extra increases at the side to create a crescent shape. When blocking the ruffled picot edge creates a full circle like the sun, with the top edge mimicking a rai...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Emma’s Shawl is a simple looking shawl utilising repeated rows of rib and lace stitches. The knitting is done on the bottom border first, from the right hand side to the left. Then stitches are picked up along the selvedge edge of the border, and using short rows a very quick and shallow crescent is given to the finished item.
