This pattern is easy to follow and not too taxing. You can construct in the one colour but I thought the second colour makes it pop. The stitches used are Knit / Purl / Sl St . The gloves are knit on 2 needles.

It is very easy to adjust this pattern size. Round 13 you may increase or decrease sts to fit your requirements. Its a warm and fun hat and you can use any contrast colour for the trim of the hat and the crab stitch.

This is a quick and easy pattern for someone who wants to move up in their basic skills. Its easy and very effective. The yarn I choose is super smooth you can however use any aran weight yarn. There is enough room to go up and down a little in your gauge.
