Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat is worked flat and sewn up afterwards. The brim is doubled over making it sturdy enough to support the slouchy lace. You can add some elastic into the brim if you would like more support and to make sure it doesn’t come out of shape.
Knitting: Cowl
This infinity scarf is an excellent introduction into working the brioche stitch. The scarf is knitted in the round and can be knitted as single colour or two colour.
Crochet: Scrubber
A brilliant little pattern for using up scraps of cotton yarn. These face scrubbies are a good replacement for using disposable cotton wool pads.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Shawl Yeah! is designed using the Socks Yeah! 4ply yarn, however any 4ply can be used. It is a fun pattern where you can choose to use more than one colour.

This Super Chunky super warm headband is perfect for keeping ears warm in winter.

Elegant and practical the Kabel Beret is fun to knit. The band is worked separately to the main part of the hat and sewn on after.

This pattern is worked in the round using a 40cm 4mm circular knitting needle. There isn’t any significant decreasing so you never have to change to DPNs. A great starter pattern for working in the round.
