Knitting: Pullover
I wrote up this pattern after finding a lovely video for a cockleshell pattern on YouTube by canselin örgü dünyası. I used the basic raglan sweater recipe by TinCan knits (Flax Lite) as the basis of the sweater, with significant modifications for the sleeve length, neckline, and raglan increases. Both written and charted instructions are provid...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The subtle texture of the rectangular wrap is from the traveling stitches used in the pattern. The motifs in this scarf are reminiscent of peacock feathers. This seemingly complicated pattern is an easy rhythm after a few repeats. I used two yarns held together, but you can easily substitute them for a single yarn. I love the way the mohair acc...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The hat is meant to be worn as a slouchy beanie. You can use a dk yarn and may need to adjust needle size for gauge. I recommend a variegated yarn for the contrast color.
Knitting: Pullover
I drew out the motifs when struggling with COVID in the beginning of 2022. I was too tired to knit!
Knitting: Tee
This was a stash buster project for yarn I bought years ago. I am not entirely certain it was Gloss fingering- but it is a fingering/sock weight yarn with a silk/merino blend that I bought from KnitPicks. Yarn substitutes would be any sock/fingering yarn that blends merino for stitch definition and silk or viscose for drape.
Knitting: Cardigan
A simple slouchy and rather unconstructed jacket. The mosaic diamond pattern can be found in the Vogue Knitting “bible” (Vogue Knitting: The Ultimate Knitting Book) and I believe Shirley Paden has published the pattern for a gorgeous coat using the same. The band pattern is found in Barbara Walker’s Mosaic Knitting--Band 29.
Knitting: Cowl
This colorway reminded of bright sunny summer afternoons and mango lassi. The yarn is soft and warm with a fluffy halo when knitted. The diagonal rib with eyelets every few rows offsets the color gradation pleasantly.
