The shawl was written during the lockdown period in the UK (which started on 23 March 2020). The lockdown was to help to halt the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) in the UK and to help save lives and reduce the burden on the NHS. The scarf is inspired by the Paul Smith multi-coloured scarf worn by the Thirteenth Doctor. It is knitted in stocking stitch width-wise and you have the choice of having one main colour or two and creating a double-knitted look. The scarf is knitted predominantly in Stylecraft Special DK yarn.

Although this has been knitted in aran weight Angora yarn, it could be knitted in any aran weight yarn (or double knit for a smaller version). It does work best though in a more luxurious yarn.
