Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Meeples are little mini people-shaped board game pieces that are often moved around the board to represent individual players. I made this very slouchy meeple beanie for an incredible board game-camping festival held in the woods in the south of England at the end of every August.
Knitting: Christmas Stocking
This Christmas stocking is inspired by the one my grandmother made for me when I was a baby, in 1979. I have no idea where she got the pattern from, but I wanted to make a similar one for my new niece, Autumn. The stocking is worked in two pieces, then sewn together. The shaping is very simple - increases and decreases, but no short rows.

Wisconsin fans: I designed this hat to look like the old ones knitted out of acrylic that you sometimes see at Badger games or on sale at St. Vinnie’s. It’s very easy to knit in the round; the “W” is added afterward in duplicate stitch or Swiss darning.
