Cassandra’s prophecy is an easy going shawl, fast to knit, cozy and yet feminine. The main body is knitted in garter stitch and the lace border is based on a simple 20 stitch pattern repeat. The pattern has been test knitted.

Pasiphae was the wife of king Minos of Knossos. She is well known for her erotic passion and beauty and that’s what inspired me to design this shawl. That and the nature around me, here in Creta.

The pattern includes written instructions for a child and an adult version of the hat. The only thing you need to know is how to knit in the round and make simple (and double) increases and decreases. The gauge for the small version is given in the pattern notes. This pattern has been test knitted.
