Knitting: Scarf
Fronde is Italian for leaves and in this pretty scarf the leaves grow from stems that go across the garter stitch background. By increasing and decreasing at both ends of the right side rows, a bias effect is achieved and when combined with a slow colour changing yarn, a beautiful scarf is created.

Andante is a common musical term frequently defined as “walking pace”. A piece of music bearing this tempo suggests it is played at a relaxed speed. Coming from the Italian verb “andare”, translated literally as “to walk” or “to go”, Andante is an invitation to pace yourself and enjoy every step of the pleasant journey this project brings.

Piccino means little in Italian, even smaller than piccolo. A perfect name for this shawl that uses one skein of fingering yarn and is very decorative in any colour. The pretty cable loooks good on both sides making it truly reversible.

I then discovered Knitpicks Swish Worsted yarn and I realised that whilst the gauge is similar, this beautiful yarn behaves ve...
Knitting: Cardigan
I love knitting patterns that keep me interested. Cables are my favourite, lace is also up my alley, but if you would like to torture me, make me knit a whole garment in stockinette stitch. However, many friends have asked me to design an “easier pattern” - something that an advanced beginner would be able to do. Whilst it is not a “mindless” k...
Knitting: Pullover
For the knitter who is in love with cables and texture here is a jumper that will give you satisfaction. The sideway construction means that the lines are horizontal, avoiding that “bulky” look that aran style knitting tends to give to a silhouette. The sleeves are narrow and long to keep the hands warm or to roll up to get them out of the way,...

A wrap with “sleeves” , a simple combination of cables and see through lace stitch inspired by the chiaroscuro idea. Works best with a fingering weight yarn that is a bit silky and shows off the detail in the structure. Approximately 300 grams of 4 ply fingering weight yarn is required.
