Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is a quick and easy knit that’s suitable for beginners just learning to knit in the round. To start, it’s knit flat from the bottom point. It has a yarn over increase at the beginning of each row, a garter stitch edge, and when the desired width is reached, it’s joined to work in the round in easy stockinette stitch. The length is cus...
Knitting: Skirt
Part Three of my Tolkien inspired skirt trilogy, this mini skirt is named after an obscure character from J. R. R. Tolkien’s writings: a Dwarf called Dis. Knitting: Skirt
This pattern is part one of a Tolkien inspired skirt design trilogy.
Knitting: Cowl
The cowl is knit flat from the bottom tip, with yarnover increases and a knit one/purl one edge on either side, then joined in the round and knit in stockinette until the yarn runs out - just be sure you leave enough to bind off. The stockinette stitch creates a lovely rolled edge at the top of the cowl.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat is an easy, quick knit – suitable for beginners who’ve mastered the knit and purl stitches and some basic decreases. It’s a great project for those who are starting to learn in-the-round knitting, and who would like an introduction to using more than one colour.
Knitting: Cowl
This is a beginner-friendly pattern that’s completely customisable. The gauge doesn’t really matter, because you will go by the physical measurement of your knitting as you go along. Which means you can use any weight yarn you want!
Knitting: Drawstring Bag
This little lacy drawstring bag was created to hold a deck of Tarot cards, but it’s also great as a gift bag, or for anything you want to keep in a pretty, knitted bag.
