Knitting: Gloves
Fairisle/stranded colourwork and a tapered wrist makes these gloves super cosy and elegant.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This pattern is based on texture created by knit and purl stitches, and it is pretty straightforward to knit. It consists of a crenellated tower top, with spiralling steps descending, or ascending.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Gentle waves lead up to a stylised wave/triangular penant motif at the top.
Knitting: Throw
The Arts & Crafts philosophy was a reaction against mass production and over-ornate decoration concealing or mis-representing the provenance and purpose of an item. It advocated traditional crafting by hand, using flat, simple motifs and forms, often inspired by nature & often in a romantic or folk style. It is an ideal of individual cr...

Our Alice in Wonderland cushion is based on the glorious illustrations by Sir John Tenniel: a lobster preparing for a quadrille, a dodo wielding a walking stick, a hookah smoking caterpillar, the cheshire cat, so many wonderful images. Will you won’t you, will you, won’t you, will you won’t you join the dance?

A simple cable pattern forms a bulbous ogee curve, to represent the shape of the pomegranate. In the middle of the pomegranate shape is a cluster of 4 small holes, to represent the 4 pomegranate seeds that Persephone ate while she was in the underworld.
Knitting: Pullover
This scoop-necked pullover has an interesting textured pattern reminiscent of overlapping feathers. A cosy and comfortable knit, which is worked in the round.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This reversible, textured shawl can be worked in any weight yarn. We recommend that you use a fairly small size needle for the yarn selected, since the seafoam shawl fabric is naturally loose due to the large number of yarn overs incorporated into the pattern.
Knitting: Gloves
These cosy, textured gloves, have great elasticity, so that they sit close to the shape of your hand, are for DK weight yarn. The gloves pictured were knit in Violet Green Sereia DK; one 100g skein is enough for a pair of adult gloves.

Stella is a textured, lacey stole, which can also be used as a scarf. Stella looks rather as if it was created via freeform knitting, but the pattern is systematic and surprisingly easy to follow. And although each star motif is knit individually, the scarf builds up by casting on new stitches and picking up existing stitches, so that there is ...

Instructions are included for making the gloves pictured, or for adapting these to make fingerless mittens.

Can be knit in any weight yarn. The scarf pictured was knit with 4ply weight yarn, and 5mm needles: big needles to make the scarf more fluid/floppy.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This semi-circular shawlette has a dense & labyrinthine criss-crossing pattern, which opens out on the outer half of the shawl, and ends in a short patterned-ruffle. The pattern creates a pretty scalloped finish along the straight edge of the shawl too.

A paradigm shift in the way we knit socks/stripes! Works well with variegated yarn.
Knitting: Mittens
The triskele, three interlocking spirals, is a Celtic symbol taken to denote earth, sea and sky, or the interlocking, never-ending spiral of life. Ancient triskele spirals can be found at various Neolithic and Megalithic sites, most notably at Newgrange, Ireland.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Difficulty rating: medium: uses simple twist stitches, but there is plenty of plain knitting and purling too.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The Reel of Three sock is named after the Scottish country dance in which three dancers weave in and around each other to create a figure of eight movement. It’s a reasonably straightforward pattern, shaped by a small number of twist stitches, interspersed with plenty of plain knitting and purling so that there is plenty of stretch and give in ...

Swirls form around little eyelet stalks, then become larger swirls around larger eyelet stalks, which turn into a furl-free garter stitch chevron-patterned edge.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Stocking stitch swirls around lace spade-motifs on this ruffled-edged shawl, which can be knit with any yarn weight: use a bigger needle size than usual to create a looser, lacier stitch.
