I have used scrap yarns in all the yarn requirements but in total its 2 skeins Scheepjes stone washed and about 1 skein of the Drops brush Alpaca silk. Its knits up very thick and warm but I have also knit it in just a cotton yarn for a lighter top

For anyone just attempting cables this is a really easy pattern, please dont be intimidated by cables they are so nice to look at and great to knit.
