Pattern can easily be adjusted to any height of length desired by changing yarn size, hook size, initial chain count, and/or number of rows (repeating rows 4 & 5 more or less than four times).

I used a 3.25mm crochet hook and LovLim DK Light#3 (Cotton/Milk Fiber). It came out a little smaller than my first one which was a littler thicker acrylic yarn.

This gamecock was made with the South Carolina Gamecock mascot in mind. I used Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn (listed as Medium 4); very little red is needed, even less of the other colors.

I developed this pattern to look like this Zac Brown beanie.
