My mossy castles are inspired by Moomin’s wonderfully whimsical house and ancient Scottish castles with their fairy filled grounds. In order to keep it delightfully whimsical I decided to display my castle in a moss filled tea cup!

These adorable Acorn Lanterns are knit entirely in the round, from the bottom up, on dpns. The candle is embroidered on using a chain stitch. The bottom has been left open, so that they can stand independently and so the embroidery is easier to do. I hope they bring joy.

These mini baskets are knit from the top down, in the round on 2 dpns. The handle is made by knotting the cast on end to its opposite side. To get the lovely woven look (without the pesky purl stitches), simply turn your basket inside out. The pattern is very quick. It only has 5 rounds!

These whimsical hats are fun and easy to make. They are knit entirely in the round on dpns, starting at the brims outward edge with pretty decreases to the center. A Latvian Braid makes an easy and impressive looking sash (how to video included).

This adorable teapot is knit entirely in the round, from the bottom up, in one piece! The handle is cleverly made by stretching out a bobble making finishing a breeze. The spout is made by using the yarn from the cast on end, and knitting a 2 stitch I-cord. Each teapot takes me about 30 minutes. Hope you enjoy!

My Acorn Wee Folk asked me to knit them some fairy wings. Of course I said I would be delighted! They helped me pick the colorful yarn and said their wings will be very useful at harvest time!

Hooray! Now just like in Goldilocks and the Three Bears this pattern comes in 3 sizes. There is a Big Papa Acorn, a Medium Mama Acorn and a Teeny-Tiny Baby Acorn! I knit my medium and large acorns in worsted and my small in sock. They are all knit in the round, on dpns. I source my acorns caps from bytheinch on Etsy.

These daffodil bookmarks are a very quick, addictive knit! They are knit entirely in the round on dpns, starting at the petals outward edge with pretty decreases to the center, then simple knitting upwards for the daffodil cup. The purl bump top is made by rolling over the top.
