Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I’ve always loved the sea. I grew up near the ocean, with both sets of grandparents living a few dozen feet from the water. Playing on the beach, listening to the waves, sailing on a boat, hiking along ocean-side cliffs – I love anything involving the sea. But nothing is the same as being far from shore with no land in sight. I love seeing the ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Have you ever been in a fog so thick you can’t see beyond your hand? My grandparent’s village is a 6-mile peninsula sticking into the North Atlantic and the fog there is epic. Rolling in off the cold waters that surround the village, the fog encircles you in a gray mist while the waves crash on the shore, out of sight but never out of hearing. ...
Knitting: Cowl
A few years back, a dear friend was diagnosed with a severe form of cancer. My then-4-year-old and I together designed this cowl for her. I pulled out all my super-soft silk yarns and let him pick the yarn. Then the two of us poured through my stitch dictionaries and he picked an arrowhead lace pattern. I added the optional applied lace edging...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Few of us control where our life takes us. Indeed, the threads of our lives often go in unexpected directions – ups and downs, maybe even sideways or along an unexpected diagonal. Inspired by lyrics from the song “No Day But Today” from the musical Rent, this shawl lets you show your story.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
Inspired by the women of the musical Rent, this day-to-night top looks like a plain shell under your blazer at the office. Joanne had to dress for the office as a lawyer, but she certainly knew how to have fun with Maureen after work. Come closing time, toss that blazer aside and show your true colors - whatever color that may be is up to you. ...
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
Inspired by the little yellow flowers of the wild strawberry plants that grow in my backyard, this top is flutters in the breeze and reminds me of the little yellow flowers blooming on warm, sunny days. These delicate little flowers don’t bear fruit, but they thrive even in horrible conditions, like the shady, acidic clay soil in my backyard. T...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I designed this shawl for one very specific reason: sometimes you want to knit those last bits of leftover yarn but you have no way to determine if you have enough to complete a pattern. Thanks to the genius of Lee Meredith (Leethal Knits) you can, and you never need to pick up stitches. This pattern incorporates the Sideways Edge Cast On that ...
Knitting: Cardigan
I designed this sweater especially for my mom. She wanted a lightweight sweater to wear in the evening down in Florida after the sun went down, and after pouring over dozens of lace patterns together, this sweater was born.
Knitting: Tee
This top has a unique construction. The cable band, which sits below the bust, is worked first, completed and blocked. Then stitches are picked up around the top of the band and the Bust/Yoke areas are worked bottom up. Next, stitches are picked up around the bottom of the band and worked top-down.
Knitting: Pullover
Little boys in intricately cabled sweaters are just adorable in my eyes. With two little boys at home I couldn’t resist designing a cabled sweater for them to wear. The cable patterns in both the front and back split and the cables wind around the collar. A braid winds down the outside of the sleeves. Named for Monomoy Island off of Cape Cod, M...
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This is a version of the dishcloths my great-aunt used to make. She had a masterful talent for crochet, but was also quite good at knitting. For some reason she always started with fewer stitches than the “traditional” diagonal dish cloth, so I decided to share her version.
Knitting: Cardigan
This cardigan was inspired by a client who hired me to design & knit a gift for a friend’s child. The friends were a wealthy NYC couple and the new baby would want for nothing, so my clients thought a hand-made gift would be a good choice. Thus this classic sweater was born.
Knitting: Cloche Hat
This Santa-themed hat that can be easily be knit up in a weekend. Worked in a small Feather & Fan pattern, this would be a great first lace project because all the stitches you need to know are knit, k2tog and yarn over. Also makes a great gift!

This is a super easy, super fast pattern. You can easily knit the smaller sizes in a day, the larger sizes in a weekend. With a gauge of 2.5 stitches per inch, you can see why!
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
Inspired by the ebb and flow of the salt water marshes of Cape Cod near where my grandparents lived, this sleeveless shell is worked in Classic Elite’s Firefly. The linen makes it breath beautifully during summer months and the slight sheen of the yarn gives it a feminine look. You’ll knit this sleeveless shell surprisingly fast as, aside from ...
Knitting: Placemat, Table Runner
This pattern makes a lovely housewarming gift or a simple way to add color to your own dining room. Knit in stockinette stitch with a garter stitch border and floral edging.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Worked in a tough cotton, these gloves are meant to be used then tossed in the washing machine. Inspired by my in-law’s need to take care of their horses mid-winter in Ocala, Florida (which gets surprisingly cold), yet maintain the ability to use their fingers in delicate maneuvers, these fingerless gloves have a cable to give them some pizazz ...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
My son needed new, warm socks for this frigid New England winter and I had trouble finding anything besides a warm weather thin sock for sale in local stores - so I decided to knit some for him.

Knitting: Sleeveless Top
An A-line tunic with a light flare over the tummy and hips; perfect for little ones exploring on warm summer days. Design is pictured in Caron Simply Soft - not even toddlers, or the repeated washing and drying they generate, can kill acrylic. This is a great project to use those soft variegated yarns found in the big-box stores.
